A terrible waste of money. If you played 30 Flights of Loving and felt cheated, this is exactly the same thing. A psuedo game heavy on metaphor but ultimately empty and short lived. Just like the developer commentary on 30 Flights revealed that most of the great elements were done by accident and then kept because they "seemed cool", this game too will reveal itself to be the shallow, high concept nonsense that it is. You'll finish the game 10 different ways within 2 hours, all of which involve walking down corridors listening to a british narrator.

Yes, I get the message about choices in gaming and what it means to your real life. That's not why I'm a die hard gamer.

As much as I love Nirvana, this is the gaming equivalent of Smells Like Teen Spirit. A great presentation that tricks a bunch of people into thinking it's profound, but in the end it was just random poetry.

This is the game I think about when I see "early access" games, and the main reason I will no longer buy them. By the time the "full" release ever happens I'll be LONG bored with the game and all I got was a mediocre experience. This one in particular seems to be stuck in development hell, since I've owned it for what seems like at least a year and nothing significant has changed or been improved. Their weekly blog posts or whatever about updates are a joke and almost always include "I'm sorry."

I am, too. All of that being said, the game is fun for a while until the broken randomness ruins your day one too many times.

I am a huge fan of Roguelikes, dice and card games and RPGs, so I thought this sounded like the perfect game. I was extrememly disappointed and I feel like I wasted $15.

First of all, do not think this is at all a roguelike. There are only a few simple items to be found in the game, all of which are restoratives or just give Attack +10% or Defence +10%. Then +20%, etc.

It gets VERY boring after only a few levels. There is not enough content here for the randomness to mean anything. Just where dumb simple items are and monster placement. If anything this is a mediocre puzzle game, that's it. All of the dice sets are relatively balanced and basically the same. You are just choosing from a few effects you want on your dice and how dangerous you want them to be (HUGE loss of damage if you roll wrong but huge boost if you roll right, versus just mild miss chance but no great reward.)

Don't waste your money unless you want a simple mindless diversion for a couple of minutes at a time.

Probably the scariest game I've ever played. And that is coming from someone who has played every Silent Hill and Resident Evil game.
