There are only two times in my life that I hit true "flow," that sensation of losing time and just total immersion. The first was when I learned to ski, and the second was playing this game. The first week or so of playing I would dream about the gameplay loop: clear room, get loot, choose next room. Even dying is something to look forward to in this game.

The core mechanics are so tight and enjoyable, then there's all these amazing layers of mythology, family dynamics, extra loot, different weapons/enemies/strategies that change things up and keep me excited to play 80 hours in. There is so much here and every amazing piece adds up to something that is definitely more than the sum of its parts. No matter your skill level or your interests, I think there is something in this game for everyone and I absolutely recommend it even at full price.
