I'm not going to debate on if Elden Ring is a perfect 10 out of 10 or if it is getting too much praise when the game is not reinventing the wheel, but what I will say is that most fans of the soulsbournekiero genre will love this game. Fromsofts first foray into an open world has its stutters every now and again in different areas from performance to how overpowered some things can become, but overall the gameplay is very seamless and enjoyable. I have played every game in this genre from FromSoft except for Bloodborne and I can safely say this is yet another experience you will not want to miss out on.

This game is not worth your money. I received this game through humble bundle so I did not go out of my way to buy this. The story is bland and uninteresting, the combat is overly simplistic to the point of having no ability to defend yourself other than to evade attacks and on top of that you cannot move in a direction you are not looking in and the same goes for attacking. The problem with that last part is the game has no way of telling you which direction you are actually looking when attacking so you wind up whiffing attacks constantly and taking unnecessary damage. The only reason I will have a bunch of time in this game is because I have an unhealthy need to finish games i have started even if they are terrible. Don't be me lol.

This game is wildly inconsistent for a game that has gotten so much praise. I'm sure i'm in the minority on this opinion but there are very few instances where you get to learn and adapt to the situations and environment when you have enemies off screen trigger an explosion the causes a rock smack you in the face for damage, sending you off a cliff to some fall damage, only to be stunned when you hit the floor and some trap or monster has ample time to hit you for your last life.
This game is challenging and well thought out in a lot of areas, the sounds and music are great, the art is great for an indie game, and the game is crisp so I can understand why this game has its backers but for my money there are better games in the same vein that are much more fun and rewarding.

EDIT: About an hour after posting this review I completed the game. I wont say I wouldn't recommend this game, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that isn't OK with chaotic mechanics that will get you killed from off screen nonsense that you never saw or had any part in triggering.

Fun little 2d stealth game with some noire and jokes. For 4-8 hours of gameplay the normal price is a bit much but if you can get this on sale for 5 bucks or less it should feel worth the asking price.

This is Katy Parry the game and it couldn't get much better. Very difficult to master but supremely rewarding.

Souls-like game with Prince of Persia/ Uncharted-like traversal. Great story. Good length for %100 completion.
