I looked up lots of other gases...only chlorine gas fits your description. All other gases that kill you on the spot affect your skin too. Clorine gas, however, destroys your repiratory organs, so you have to breathe it for it to work. There are some gases that make you hallucinate, vomit, etc that are not effective on skin, but all other lethal gases are deadly when in contact with skin. good luck with your story
