I really like this game, but it could be better. Apart from some minor gimmicks of some bosses the game is hard but rewarding. The coop is also real fun, as long as you play with friends and have audio communication. Still can't understand how the devs did not include a chat feature in a game with so much focus on coop multiplayer.

The main story is very bland and completely forgettable. Without the pseudo-metaphysicallity it is basically (minor spoilers):
-powerful girl saves you at the start, then disappears, so you go searching for powerful girl because you a nice guy/gal
-find out powerful girl was safe all along, hiding with mysterious matrix dude
-matrix dude tells you to two more big meanies
-powerful girl turns out to not be so powerful after all
-kill final boss
-???
-reset storymode

Exploring the different worlds and learning about their lore is way more interesting and makes you forget you even had a "main objective" in the first place.

The performance and optimisation are really lackluster. Without the upscaler you are basically playing Remnan 1 visually, and with the upscaler your hardware is pushed to the max (RIP players who don't have some of the more recent hardware).

The weekly patches are really a double edged sword: some things get fixed, others aren't fixed at all despite the patch specifically addressing the issue (i.e. missing rewards for completing the game, NPCs not selling specific items) and things like the damage reduction not working properly get more broken with every patch.

In the long run I can see the game reaching an almost perfect state, but for the near future it still feels like a construction site with a promising outlook.
