I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, where my father worked as a real estate broker.
Diagnosed with diabetes in 1979, I began working to raise awareness of the disease. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) honored me in 2008 with an award to recognize my lifetime of service in this venerable cause. I've been active visiting Veterans Administration hospitals and communities to advise patients on how to manage their diseases. The ADA presented the award to me at the Port St. Lucie headquarters of Liberty Medical on December 19, 2008.
I'm an activist, paying from my own funds for ads to have Utah allow horse-race gambling, and actively opposed to the banning of cockfighting in New Mexico. I am an avid gamer and my favourite PC game is Left 4 Dead 2. In March 2010 I became interested in joining the Deadly Infantry Kombat Killers clan as they emphasized the importance of teamwork, something I consider essential to Left 4 Dead 2. In order to qualify I fought my way through a custom map with a non-stop panic event. Despite forgetting to pick up my melee weapon at first and a few missteps-I made it. I also enjoy poker and have played in the World Series of Poker Main Event. I lent support to John McCain in the 2008 U.S. presidential election. In the days leading up to his selection for vice president, McCain stated that he would pick me: "He's a former Marine and great guy and he's older than I am, so that might work.

In early 2010 due to my advanced age and probability of death in the coming decade, I sought a youthful host body to transplant my brain into and extend my lifespan considerably. I found my host in a young Canadian boy and successfully transplanted myself into his body despite his resistance using an experimental medical procedure. I now remain Wilfred Brimley despite my new youthful, handsome appearance.
