Gave this a try because i saw it on some time ago and it looked really neat, in fact the game does look neat, but in playing it.. well for a new player, there's no training, no run threw, and if you're just starting out, no hope to do much, my first playthrew i died within a few seconds and all the rest, clueless trying to figure out how to even use armor, long time players who get lumped in with brand new players are killing you with a single hit, honestly there's zero fun in a game that doesn't even tell you the basics.. i gotta say 1/10 and that's for the lovely look of the game, but no more. lack of intro, lack of training for a new player.. just.. lack of help in any matter. I deleted this one pretty fast. And before people whine to me that "its early access!" yes well they had time to add a cash shop but no time to make a tutorial? Come on devs..

What can I say about this game that will do it justice. I cannot tell you how much fun I have had with creating bases, catching dinos and taking on bosses. The first time I tamed a giga was like .. the birth of my firstborn... if i had kids.
Don't get me wrong there are cons to the game, it needs optimazation and it would be lovely to actually have some choice in how my person looked because there is no face choices, only huge small or deformed.. however if you play first person that hardly matters as you dont see yourself.
The best parts of the game are all about the dinos and with the new dlc it has opened so many new amazing looks to the dinos and more lore to the storyline which is something I cannot get enough of. Honestly I love this game and cannot wait to try it on vr and I would suggest anyone that wants to try a game with pvp or pve and dinos and using the dinos to destory other dinos and people, go no farther!

Well i've decided to write this after alot of thought. I did enjoy the game when i started it, its still in early access and bugs are to be expected, mostly we've laughed over them, its alot of pvp at the moment.. but thats where the issues start to arise sadly. Not so much with the game but the devs and forum mods. Which is what brings me to review this so poorly. All of the expeiences are myself and friends.

On reporting any bugs players get told "its early access and to be expected" to which confuses me.. aren't we supposed to report these so they can get fixed? The posts from the players posting the bug and giving screens will often get locked and deleted. Other bugs include crashing, freezing, players asking for the lag to be addressed, and hopefully worked on, to which all are replyed to "Get a better computer" and " Connection bugs on ISPs not paying fees"

On asking any questions to the devs or mods, threads are locked and deleted if they are questions related to where the game is headed, anything on breeding or any discussion on thoughts to different dinos abilities and looks.

The latest stream with the owner, Dondi, a post was released in the forums by a dev [deathlyrage] stating to "Ask about the new breeding system" So many of us went into the stream to ask.. to which nothing was anwered, no talk of it and everything relating to it was ignored. After which this post was deleted and denied [Thou a few people like myself kept copies]

My biggest issue however is the forums, players will always talk and wish and express what they want to, its freedom of speech. But when the mods go in and lock threads, shut down posts, tell people "Thats never going to happen" when they are only mod, ban others because they don't like what they post or just have issue with the players themselves in the game. That is immature and frankly turns me away from this game. anyone even breathing a word of it is publicly ostracized by both the community AND devs.

This game.. the people creating it and running, just save yourself the headache and anger and fustrations and avoid it.

Update
So after some time I returned to see the postive reviews which excited me to think they had addressed some of the issues that had been a huge problem in the past..
They had not, it was the same old nonsense with now.. Mods! yes.. they allowed mods into the game to which a whole new group now harass and bully modders for creating. As the devs put it "Don't make it look bad and people wont hate it" Wow.. just..
After reading all the good reviews it seems that all the very short "Its so great, dinosaurs! I love how they look" makes me wondering if they got the game free as the detail is pretty slim to none all to gt the postitve ratings up.
Beware this game, unless you enjoy walking a tightrope of careful wording the moment you get into the game or forums, heaven help you should you try and ask for help..

I played this when it first came out and it needed alot of polish, to which they have been doing! I am changing up my review on this fact, they have added a great amount, its easier to play and I feel if you like zombie survival, you should try this game. It does lack a starter tutorial sadly, but if you like the more hardcore then it will be for you. I've enjoyed returning to this game and many people I know have said its really a great place to play.
