I loved the main campaign of this game and the conquest feature.

But this DLC campaign was a complete failure.

It was absolutely loaded with gamebreaking bugs in the early stages so I waited a few months to return to the game.

The difficulty of the missions are all over the place, even on extreme difficulty. Some are crazy easy and a few are much harder but become much simpler once you know of the curveballs the game will throw at you. The fine tuning seems really terrible as far as difficulty is concerned.

Then there's the issue that most of the maps aren't even in the basis of a strategy game.
I play Northgard in order to play a game about balancing economy and fighting the enemy while managing the economy and so forth. Not for some stealth segment or weird RPG game. The fact that the very last campaign map is a no-build map is atrocious.

I know my play time is quite telling by itself, but that's what kind of game this is. A huge timesink. (Also include a bunch of afking)

The story is atrocious but nobody cares.

Bots are running rampant and blatantly cheating (teleport and speed hacks)

When you near "endgame content" it becomes a matter of doing boring daily grinding.

There's a huge amount of RNG involved.

The game is filled with "pay to win" elements of various sorts, allowing you to shorten the amount of grinding or waiting required (similar to some mobile game)

The only positive thing I can mention is that the graphics are nice and the spells and abilities have nice visuals that feel cool to use.

I enjoyed it, but only because it was basically more subnautica, even if it was worse.

The main character's motive is confusing? I might remember it wrong and from the multiple iterations of the story that kept getting remade, but I'm pretty sure the player character has one reason for going to the planet and that motive gets put in the backseat when something else interesting happens.

I feel that it was a massive mistake to have plot and areas on the surface... it's a game called subnautica, about exploring the ocean. Being forced to go on land was terrible for me.

Replacing the Cyclops / Seamoth ships with the Sea Truck felt horrible. I loved my scooty fasty little scout Seamoth and I loved my huge Cyclops. The cyclops was amazing to have and use; a mobile base. A mobile... home.
Why weren't we simply given the option of all 3? Was the cyclops considered too OP or something?

Also a sort of mistake that you are not alone this time around. A part of the terrifying feeling about Subnautica is the fact that you are alone, where every potential "There might be survivors!" is met with nothing but audio recordings about how they presumably died. But here we have a talking buddy that reminds us that we aren't alone all the time.

It's already pretty bad that games are filled with literal bot AIs, but the fact that they all have real-sounding names to trick you into thinking it's not entirely made of bots is just incredibly dishonest.

The RNG just gets very annoying very quick. When your 2hander guy with a 78% chance to hit misses 3 times in a row, that's 3 rounds where he's useless because 2handers can only attack once a turn, then it gets very frustrating.

Balancing around RNG is just terrible and doesn't feel intuitive or like it's a proper challenge.

This game is an abomination. Not the game itself. The crashing. And the fact that you can't save during a battle making the inevitable crashing all the more vexing, as you have to re-do that battle again and again and again. I thought that maybe after half a year, they would have fixed it, but nope. Still as crashy. Out of 4 battles, 3 of them crashed.

The game itself is good, which is what makes it so sad and vexing.

I love Dungeon Keeper games but I don't love this. It's set together pretty poorly with a bad story and immense lag issues, or RAM issues, rather. During loading and during some of the later campaign maps it took 5-10 minutes for it to load, during this time the computer being completely unavailable, since WFTO is leeching all RAM, making it nearly impossible to even open up a new tab on Firefox. Furthermore, on the later campaign maps there would be constant small lagspikes making it very hard to properly manage the battles and what not. Many other minor problems here and there as well, lacking names and structures in rooms actually having 'Prop' before it's name...

This is a terrible game. Combat is really bad and troublesome, you can get owned easily by a few enemy ships. Lack of information comes up often and you will spend a lot of your time just flying back and fourth between objective targets. Escort missions will bug out, making the escorting target get stuck in a station.

This game is a waste of money. I had no enjoyment, only frustration. Waste of money.

Great game if you love co-operative orientated games. Monster and puzzle difficulty changes the more people there are, and the game is very focused on co-op. Enjoyed it a lot.
