I just wanted to add a bit of sanity into the review bombing here. I have around 700 hours in the game, and I've been playing it for years. I was hesitant to pick up this DLC after the awful reviews, and it seems like the DLC was really awful at the beginning. But it seems that the kinks have since been ironed out, and I have had no big problems after getting the DLC. The content for the monuments, development changes, etc. are nice. The tribal confederations make the gameplay annoying for colonizers, but I'm not even sure if that was a patch or the DLC. Either way, I'd recommend the DLC.
