Be warned,

Strategy has been nerfed
There are still issues like lifeless environments and arbitrary win conditions that have plagued every single TW game
The UI is overly complicated and obscured
The few remaining strategy elements are often obscured and make little to no overall difference.

On the plus side

The Warhammer material is beutifal and all works well.
Magic
Extended leadership skill tree
Battles are amazing gaints and monster work particularly well.
Asymetric factions your going to want to play the campiagn with each faction as their all very different

Deep yet easy to grasp
Vast yet easy to manage
Flexible yet well balanced

With many brave design choices, a wealth of sci-fi tropes, and endless replayability, Stellaris sets a new standard for Space 4X games.

Don't buy this yet, unless like me you love exploration and ship customization.

There is enough of the game working for you to enjoy it. The customization options are huge, but the controls are finicky, and its lacking in a decent tutorial and tooltips, these are the things I'm hoping EA will add.

Lots of features, a good general upgrade to the base game.

Still Breathtaking

Simple, Scenic, funny, and full of action.

Fun tactics game

You can beat the campaign in around two hours, but you will enjoy those two hours.

This game is a delight.

Defect manages to cram inn; ship building, action, humor and even David Bowie.

Even though its Early Access, its hard to spot any bugs, and theres plenty of content to keep you occupied.

Closest thing in the last ten years, to C&C Generals
