When the Trailer came out the OG one i was excited AF after all Larian has made some of my favorite games of all time. Dragon Commander, DOS 1 and of course DOS 2 so good! The Lore is confusing but still bloody fun. I purchased this game in ye olden days of Early access and i thought maybe 60 bucks is too much for EA but i trusted the Studio and i was not disappointed EVEN THOUGH so much jank in those early days i knew something magical was happening (pun intended) You had a lot of freedom and then after sinking many hours into ACT 1 mind you. I would put it down and then play it After every new update i always watch the streams. Sven and the Team have a great sense of humor THE SALAMI. Also Sven is a Discworld Fan so another point. Fast forward Game is released i started a new run as Tav a Half-Orc Sorcerer with a past of being poor and street smart. THE AMOUNT OF LOVE that went into this game is amazing and the level of choice you can do and Speak with the Dead. OWLBEAR AND DOGGO don't get me started on the writing its bloody fantastic the people you choose to travel with don't feel like video game peoples but Actual Characters with their own wants and motivations lots of love went into these performances and Astarion's Voice Actor winning the Game of the Year Award is well deserved.
This notion that we shouldn't expect games from other major Devs of this love and quality is just where the AAA industry is currently at rn they care more about profit margins, a formula instead of trying something new. Svens speech was always on spot on and like he said you make games that the Devs love to play people will buy it. Instead of chasing Trends stop being so safe. Also enough with Celebrities in Video Games its distracting (Except Johnny Silverhand and Idris Elba) they are awesome and ofc JK simmons. BUY THIS GAME

As a fan of Amnesia on the whole having played Dark Descent, A Machine for Pigs, Rebirth this is a great return to Form Rebirth told a lovely story about loss and heartbreak and what it means to be a mother while expanding on the Otherworld aspect of the games past. There is a great story here its just discovered with flashbacks and notes and is clearly inspired by Alien Isolation, RE 2 remake and other survival horror games and really has reinvented the wheel with this game. The Beast that stalks you is very unpredictable dont make a sound horde ammo and run and hide lure it into a trap, conserve your goal is escape the bunker plan runs carefully and whatever you do if you hear a scream prepare

A horror game set in the 2010's 1st chapter inspired by RE1, Silent Hill and Clock Tower lots of fun tense moments and a great story told through notes and any fans (like myself) will spot the common thread of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA IS THERE INSIDE MY MIND! Chapter 2 is clearly inspired by Japanese Horror has an amnesia feel to it which is great and tells a more personal grounded story about trauma and healing and unrealized feelings and regret and arguably has a creepier creature hunting you and none of this game feels forced it flows and is at the end of the day a beautiful love story. One issue though its not re-playable which is not a bad thing games that tell a story well deserve an excellent ending

This Game fits a niche genre WW1 survival Horror no monsters just the horrors of war. This game instills panic in me in a good way of course. The Other game in this limited Niche was Amenisa the Bunker.....THE GUN IT DOES NOTHING!!

This game came out of Nowhere for me i got it as gift from my friend having moved to Washington State near the exclusion zone just the intro has spooky vibes then it goes off the rails on how bonkers it is racing the storm will you make it will one of the many anomoiles kill you and your car? from the Belching Burper (reminds of Nurgle) to the creepy weeping angel like Tourists that will spawn right behind you and it has made me freaking scream the Progression with everything feels so good when set out on your route and make it back to the Garage your Car is your best friend it is your buddy and will get you out of tight spots but you gotta treat it right watch for quirks see how it acts around the drive will it drive away on its own or try to ram you you never know all is permitted in the Zone and when you get the energy and your loot to upgrade the garage and your car and apperances of the car and the clothes you wear you select your exit but look over the map first ideal way to escape flat ground minimal trees because mid game the storm that wants to kill you closes in faster and faster so haul bacon made all the worse by the conditions of a specific area of the zone like eerie darkness which if you have a fear of that along with mannequins. This game is great i hope we get even more stuff to do like new upgrades and new car parts new biomes and other horrors to haunt your dreams i cant see this working with co op unless the Dev can figure it out and Seasonal Content endless mode or a new game + more story missions lean into that insanity this game is easily a contender for GOTY its alot like stray or bramble the mountain king in how it just does something different and refreshing especially with the AAA disappointments so far and the big layoffs affecting the industry WE NEED MORE GAMES like this to push the envelope only minor complaint is bugs can be annoying but other than props to the QA department and Not since Baldurs gate 3 have i sunk so many hours into this game 10/10 Buy it support the Dev even if you have to sell your soul to satan get this game
