Broken Reality is a surrealistic vaporwave fueled fever dream that embraces the absurdity of a capitalistic hellscape, the aesthetics perfectly encapsulates a time long forgotten, an amalgamation of nostalgia and colors that bombard all the visual senses. Playing through this game was a magical time.

So how's the gameplay? It's a first person Collect-a-Thon wrapped in rouge-lite mechanics, puzzles and mini games, difficulty ranges from enjoyable to tedious at times but that's only cause my smooth brain gets easily fried by math equations and mundane tasks. Jokes aside, the strong presentation and memorable scenery kept me going just to see what else wacky stuff the game was going to throw at me.

If you're someone who enjoys vaporwave culture, memes and a heavy dose of sensory overload with a pretty simple and chill gameplay that doesn't require you to stress, this should feel like home.

I give this game eight doges out of ten.

Angel at Dusk is an incredible looking SHMUP with an equally fascinating, yet disgusting style that brings out an unique atmosphere, the grotesque design is thought provoking as much as it is mesmerizing. As a fan of both shooters and body horror, this game scratches that itch for me.

The gameplay loop is really addictive in a sense that it rewards the player for playing well by constantly morphing the living ship into a stronger form, I can look past the whole ''my player ship is too darn big and I can't see anything'' because the trade off for absolute power puts a smile to my face.

Solid program for creating sprite animations, works like clockwork in tandem with their previous tools such as Pixel FX Designer, you can easily make some awesome gifs, then deconstruct them and polish it up with other programs. It's not complicated to pick up, and it has been a godsend for game development purposes. I highly recommend this awesome product as well as their previous works. 10/10

Wow, Astrolancer is a classic in the making, the quality left me dumbfounded, with such incredible spritework to resemble a games from the 8-bit NES era, and with tight gameplay, great bullet patterns and music that just clicks for me. It took me two hours to play through it normally on retro mode cause I just couldn't put the controller down, haha...

This one is a keeper!

Chaos Moon is a surprisingly polished shoot em up game that doesn't mess around with its presentation, it is a call back to 90's retro arcades, no continues required. Firstly, I'm really impressed by the art direction, the pixel graphics are aesthetically pleasing to look at, the sound design is crisp even if not simple at times (not a bad thing really) and the soundtrack is a real banger too.

Now lastly I'm a bit mixed about the gameplay portion, on one hand, it controls really well, buttons are easy to understand and with enough power ups, you'll turn into a weapon of mass destruction, however I feel like the punishing nature of the game alongside no continues and scarcity of one ups can be slightly frustrating when you're in the thick of it.
Now despite the steep learning curve, I failed to mention that your green and purple bullets can cancel out the enemy ships
if they so happen to have the corresponding colors, a neat feature that also takes some time to get used to.

With that said, Chaos Moon is a neat little entry for shmup enjoyers.

Star of Providence is an awesome take on the rogue-like genre, everything I enjoyed with The Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon is here, but with awesome pixel graphics, a moody atmosphere and some incredible bullet hell patterns alongside intense bosses. This is really damn good! 10/10

Man, Cycle Chaser is such an awesome SHMUP, there's so much good things I can say about. The use of colors and graphics feels really great to look at, both the style of the enemies and the color language for the bullets pop really well!
The music is really stellar, very reminiscent of oldschool Megadrive era of gaming. As far as difficulty goes, this might be more on the easy side, but don't get fooled, the bullet patterns are very creative and can easily blindside you. I've gotten to the last stage a few times and I feel like with enough practice, I could beat it on the Advanced Difficulty.

All in all, seeing a solo dev create such a great title is very inspiring. My one and only minor complaint is the walls blending in with the background during the gravity based boss while the screen is dark blue, but it's nothing that ruins my feel on this game.

Highly recommended!

Nanoforce is an excellent shoot em up in both the visual style to the incredible diverse arsenal at your disposal which mixes up the strategies in which you approach obstacles. The soundtracks very complementary to each of the stages as well and left me with a very positive experience. I have yet to beat stage 7, but seeing as it took me two attempts to get the hang of mechanics and gameplay loops, I feel confident in giving it another go.

Overall, a great shmup, would recommend it!

The OST is such a great vibe, been wanting to download them for quite sometime, happy to be able to play it in the background :)

Great collection of amazing artists from an awesome community, this is a fine edition for those who seek to fill more life into their SHMUP projects :)
