I've been patiently waiting for this release since the initial announcement of the game, and can confidently say it is REALLY GOOD, like we should of gotten this instead of FEAR 3 good. I'm seriously struggling to say anything negative about the game, so i just won't. The single negative review i'm seeing (as of writing this) is clearly just a hater that has major boomer mentality. If you like FEAR, you will like this, guaranteed.

Into the Breach
Spelunky
Slay the Spire
Dead Cells
and even Risk of Rain 2

So yea, the overwhelmingly positive review is warranted

Awooga Awooga!!

*jaw drops to floor, eyes pop out of sockets accompanied by trumpets, heart beats out of chest, awooga awooga sound effect, pulls chain on train whistle that has appeared next to head as steam blows out, slams fists on table, rattling any plates, bowls or silverware, whistles loudly, fireworks shoot from top of head, pants loudly as tongue hangs out of mouth, wipes comically large bead of sweat from forehead, clears throat, straightens tie, combs hair* "Ahem, you look very lovely miss"

Seriously though, i've grown up playing oldschool fps' like this since i was introduced to DOOM in '05 and have been in the modding scene since '08, and this - without a doubt, is one of the best things to come out of the extensive mod scene, its glorious. Instead of going into great detail about every aspect of the game and why its a 10/10 masterpiece, ill just give an example of an awe-inspiring moment within the game.

So a few levels into the game, i was still a bit on the fence about it, not because of anything in particular, other than the start of the game is just slightly slower than the rest of the game, which isnt a complaint for me. As im playing through the level i was thinking to myself "this game is very modest when it comes to enemies" until i come to a certain courtyard. All of a sudden the music changes sharply from ambient to this catchy metal and like 30 enemies warp in. Safe to say, my soul left my body and i felt only euphoria for the entire duration of the level. If nothing else, this game is proof that:

1. Doom is a godly game capable of spawning other godly games.
2. HeXen, Doom, and seggsy half orc snu-snu goddess is match made in Heaven Hell.
3. Dooms mod scene is eternal (pun intended)

To conclude, obviously i reccommend lol
