With those being said, I don't know if I was lucky - as in their launcher was still compatible with Win7 or not. But I'm not going to risk it again any time soon. I believe... it's time to "adopt" a parrot and put it on my, on your, on our shoulders. Better than any DRM disease.

Afterwards I tried launching the game via Steam, but again, I received the same error. Then I figured out I had to manually launch the "upc. exe" found within the launcher's install directory. IT WORKED. Then I... chose to enter my account data and then returned to Steam to launch the game via there, while leaving the filthy launcher open.

Yes, it brought up the launcher window again while asking me to insert a game's key code. AND... to my surprise, it got registered. Nightmare was over.

Hope this helps you out and other too. Feel free to share this bizarre solution.

I am here to say that last night (european time) I finally installed their new shiny crap (Ubi Connect) and activated a game's key code that was about to "expire" later today (PoP the Forgotten Sands). Yes, I did it in the last minute... but thankfully, it worked.

At first, I received an error. Looked up on the web and decided to download reshade, then I right-clicked on it, and chose "open with WinRar", extracted the "ReShade32. dll" file and moved it to the location where Ubi crappy launcher got installed. Last step was to rename it to "dxgi. dll".

Like not the actual giveaway but keys that would just normally go to waste if not redeemed.

Is there a thread for just sharing keys if games itself and not the link to legitimate giveaways.

I have a bunch of humble bundle and fanatical steam keys I want to give away and so far what I have been doing is just giving them to people who have wishlisted the game but it would be nice to just post them somewhere for others to try and redeem them.

I know bots and snipers exist but it feels wasteful leaving them in my account doing nothing after I have already used and owned the item.

I might have some info regarding Soulfire.
Once you skip or complete the tutorial, you can open your Mailbox on the Main Menu of the game.
Inside, you can see a message / announcement that says the devs have decided that Soulfire will be free to play in order to maintain a healthy playerbase.

It's possible that the devs are going to update the games' price on the Steam store and make the game free to play pretty soon.
