This game is absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Every facet of this game has been crafted with genuine talent and passion for the true classics. The music is gorgeous, the sprite work and tile sets are fantastic, the gameplay is tight and responsive, and the story kept me fully immersed and interested to keep going and learn more. The customization with your weapons and abilities is where teh game fully got me hooked. Collecting more spheres and testing out all the combinations to find a style that works for me was so satisfying. Exploring the maps was always enjoyable as well, it never ended up feeling like a chore, as can sometimes happen in the Metroidvanias out there. The characters are all great too. A wonderful, relatable, and diverse cast really brings home the experience. The length is just perfect for what it is, not too long, not too short with superb replay value with the nwegame+ feature. This is the first game I felt the desire to fully 100% complete in well over a decade. I honestly can not think of a single criticism for this game. It's a perfect game experience up there with the likes of Journey and Chrono Trigger. If you like the Metroidvanias, if you miss popping a cart into your SNES and playing a fun adventure, or if you're just looking for something new to try out, give this game a shot. It will not disappoint you. I loved every single second of this game, and simply can not express just how much I recommend this game. I give an absolute unquestionable 10/10.
