Absolutely epic.
But it's huge and it requieres time to develop it's story. It's the best you can have if you look for something mind bending. It relates to a normal computer game like a really good movie relates to a superhero blockbuster movie. (Well some readers won't get it,)
It is, to sum it up, a valuable and rare piece of computer game culture.
Closest relative is of course portal, not only for the riddles, but portal also was art with a concept over all parts of the game. Talos is not as funny as portal is, but it's bigger and tells the bigger story.
Thanks to cro team -- that came as a surprise. Even knowing that they are working on Part II, I could not imagine that they do it that well: This heavy task to deliver a bit more than the successful predecessor. Where Matrix II lost it, croteam have won.

There is a big hary bug, beyond everything I've seen in the last years, unsolved since 2019 wich blocks the game in the first quarter. There is apperarently no solution for it: The mines targets you through the walls. So there is no way to pass Level 1/16.
I love the main game, but that here is a sort of of selling trash with a big name.
