A roguelike with a darkened atmosphere that I can't get enough of.

one run I had to just explore 90% of the rooms, which equalled about 8 or 9 rooms, and had to retreat after the second.
another had me clear all room battles and out of 8 rooms, only had two fights.

Random number generators. (if only it would stop making me miss so many times.)

While your characters can be perma killed, when their health is down to 0, any blow could kill them, but then again they could remain at death's door for multiple rounds and multiple hits.

If you get this, pray to the almighty RNGeesus. For it is Him that you will praise or curse.

Eventually, you may begin to feel as stressed as your adventurers. (I hate it every time the enemy surprises them and their formation is scrambled beyond repair. Worst thing you can have is your Leper, who only has melee skills, be thrown to the back line, where you waste turns trying to get him where he can attack again, all the while having your party take hits)

You will learn to hire sacrifices to run areas just to get you the money you need to pay for services to keep your main party unstressed.

9/10 would delve again

You either live long enough to see the source of the lights to the South-East, or you die from hunger, dehydration, hypothermia, or by a single attack from another human you couldn't sneak away from in the first few days.

While you have a choice of skills at the start, the majority of the game is strongly effected by luck. Luck of loot found, luck of places to camp in, luck during encouters; a single fluke can kill you. With permadeath a constant fear, one must be wise about every action taken.

It's a good turn-based survival, almost table-top-like game. Your real entertainment will be seeing how long you can survive in this post-apocalypse world. You have to use your imagination for most of it, but to those who enjoy roguelikes or table-top strategy games will find this a good buy.

There's a demo; if you're even the slightest bit curious, TRY IT. (there are things omitted from the demo, but it'll give you a very good idea of how to play the game)

A rather short game, but definately worth the time. It screams South Park at every turn with its profanity, absudity, and general mockery. Unless you plan on testing out the four classes, it doesn't have much to pull you in after the game "ends" (as you can still roam around the town after the credits to finish getting collectibles).

It actually manages to be a solid tactical turn-based RPG. Clothing carries bonuses, not stats, and can be upgraded with removable patches or stickers. I kept a level 2 pair of gloves through the final boss because of it's natural damage boosting ability.

Without revealing spoilers, even though I knew that there would be some craziness with the adults of the town, but even still I couldn't help but laugh. There are so many references to the show, you almost feel like a citizen yourself.

If you're a fan, then this game is for you. If you're a fan of RPGs, then even better. If you like RPGs and hate South Park, then you can imagine beating up the townsfolk. Either way--GET IT.
