How have I not reviewed this game? 1669 hours must mean I like it, right?

There was a game back in the day, Little Computer People, that is ONI with nicer graphics and better gameplay. Tell your dupes what to do, then watch them do it. It is the game I dreamed of all those years ago, but with more imagination and gameplay than my tiny mind is capable of.

The most intelligent cat in the world award goes to...

It is a good time in a well crafted world with puzzles to solve. You are a cat, what is not to love?

If you like kicking zombies off buildings and watching as they go splat on the ground, this is the game for you.

First the bad, keyboard character movement isn't great, controller is recommended but in this case it seems more likely a small team and budget meant there wasn't time to improve these things further rather than a controller improving gameplay. When you are supposed to be walking isn't always clear, sometimes you do the work, sometimes the game does the work, sometimes you only walk a few steps, the game direction here could have been better. The QTE's felt a bit like filler to give the player something more to do.

Beyond that the game was great, good story well woven together, likeable/interesting characters, choices that seem to make a difference (I plan to return and find out). The game felt a bit short for the price, 25% less would have felt right, but I had fun so I am happy I played it.

Too many trading cards, never more than 10 and even then less is better.

Fun chill game, only takes about 2 hours but the game is priced for that. I did get a bug on level 12 but restarting the puzzle fixed that. I enjoyed my time here.

At first I was unsure about Greedfall, it felt like a lot of running around getting in the way of the story, also my character build made combat difficult, but over time the story began to take over and my character became stronger. After about 8 hours I was able to appreciate how well the story has been crafted and just how much the side quests interact with the main quest, impressive for a single player game. The game has a few issues and isn't a "triple A" experience, but at no point did this prevent me from enjoying my time with Greedfall.

Now I have completed the game I can honestly recommend it to anyone who wants a good story that can change in multiple fundamental ways depending on the choices made, outcomes of many quests are affected by decisions you make along the way. Don't let the small issues this game has get in the way of enjoying what ultimately proved to be an awesome gaming experience.

It is difficult to say much about Town of Light without using spoilers so i'll just say this is an interesting look at how Mental Health was dealt with in times before it was better understood. I always find it difficult to imagine how something is unless I am placed right in the centre of it, this 'game' does that in no uncertain terms. It will at times make you feel uncomfortable, and wonder how some humans can live with themselves. One playthrough will take 3-4 hours, slightly more if you want to discover everything.

At times it was tough to keep playing but having reached the end I am glad I kept going.

If you want a game where you can get in the face of your enemies while being a total badass then Rage 2 will be for you, if you want a great story or prefer to sit back sniping enemies from afar this probably won't be for you. Also, this is probably only worth full price if you are going to travel the open world completing most of the cut & paste missions, otherwise wait for a sale.

I had fun with this but it isn't the perfect $60 experience, the story is short (5-10 hours) and won't win any awards for quality. Where Rage 2 shines is the in your face combat, I lost track of time regularly going around the map causing mayhem. If that sounds like the sort of game you enjoy then I definitely recommend. The closest comparison you will get for the gameplay here is Doom (2016), with a pinch of Mad Max thrown in. This is a game where you need to know what you are buying into and won't suit everyone.

It is a shame the core gameplay loop led this game to receive poor reviews, if you can look beyond that you get an amazing city to explore, well crafted characters to interact with and a story that is interesting from beginning to end. Lincoln Clay is a great protagonist surrounded by believable people in 1968 New Bordeaux (New Orleans).

The thing that ties all this together are the radio stations filled with fantastic music and broadcasters that link the story and gameworld with the interesting worldwide political climate of the time. This is also the wettest game I have ever played, when it rains you know about it.

If you can, force yourself through the missions that are without doubt somewhat repetitive, immerse yourself in the music and New Bordeaux and you will have a great time.
