I love third-person, surreal 8-bit horror games, and Dead Dreams perfectly scratched that itch. With a combination of nightmarish imagery, puzzling, and obscure lore, I enjoyed my experience quite a bit. The characters' backstories also touched on some dark themes, and I appreciate that the game was willing to explore them. Dead Dreams is well worth the six hours I spent beating the main story, and with the update adding another chapter to explore and three new endings, I look forward to replaying it.
