At first, they didn't have enough servers to meet demand.
Then they wanted to hard link to PSN accounts.

Have spent more time trying to join matches and launch the game than having played it.
(Hence the hours on record.)

It's mediocre, but its free. It has it's moments. Heavy DLC push.
