I didn't expect that I would be so invested in the story of the game when I read the description 'Katana-Zero meets Spider-Man', let alone have the game make me laugh and cry, but here we are.

Absolutely brilliant focused experience, so much fun. Gameplay is fantastic, music is banging, story is wonderful, the art is gorgeous. Truly one of the greats and I hope to see more from the creators.

Cannot recommend this game enough.

Despite being very skeptical about this game, I've found myself really enjoying it! Gameplay is fun, especially in coop, and the story has had some interesting beats too.

Performance sucks at the moment so I'd recommend waiting for a patch, but the game at its core is actually far more fun that I was expecting it to be. Pleasantly surprised!

This is a fantastic game at its core and is very fun, satisfying shooting and cool characters.

The meta-progression lets the game down somewhat with a stupid system for beginner challenges, but I'd recommend this over Overwatch any day!

If Rocket League, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, and Splatoon came together, this is the game you'd have. It's remarkably well done, with surprising depth and strategy to its quick 5 minute multiplayer matches. I HIGHLY recommend at least trying this out whilst the free week is up - it's great!

The Sexy Brutale is an absolute gem of a game that seems to have been overlooked by far too many people. Its theme, gameplay, writing and narrative are all top notch; and frankly the game is worth experiencing for the music alone!!

There are a few technical hiccups with it here and there (a few frame drops when transitioning from certain areas) and an initially odd control scheme that isn't rebindable (though you can quickly get used to it), but don't let those minor flaws put you off a stunning game.

Also, once again, THE MUSIC <3

ICEY is an incredibly unique game, taking the best parts of combo-centric action games such as Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Rising, putting it in a 2d metroidvania-esque setting and then applying a whole heap of The Stanley Parable. It's an odd combination of genres that works beautifully, creating an engaging story emphasising the element of choice whilst at the same time having some of the best combat in a game I've ever seen.

I highly recommend this one, however if you're not a fan of The Stanley Parable there may be a few too many moments where you have to stop and listen. If you are willing to listen and explore the various choices to be made, there is an engaging story behind an amusing narrator.

TLDR; Brilliant for the price, pick it up!

First impressions of the game were terrible, thought the swinging wasn't very good and it was unwieldy.

However, I gave it a chance - and I highly recommend you do too. I plugged in a controller and found things a tad easier, slowly getting used to swing around. At first you can't swing from things very far away which really makes the swinging seem like it's bad and more difficult than it actually is, but you just need to do a few challenges to increase that.

Also, get to the second level as soon as possible. This is where the game truly comes into its own and replicates that amazing Spiderman 2 swinging, even outdoing it. It took me about an hour to properly get to grips with the game but it was absolutely worth doing and I would highly recommend this - just stick with it throughout the dodgy start! (which will hopefully be improved throughout development anyway!)

Ronin is a very unique game in that it's a sort of turn-based action platformer.

I would personally recommend it due to have much of a unique game it is, despite any similarities to Gunpoint. There are a few things that would make it an even better game, such as being able to know exactly where you would be once you make a move, or being able to know if doing a certain action will kill you. A level editor would also give this game some fantastic replayability as, in its current state, the game is unfortunately rather short. I completed it in about 4 hours or so.

Unfortunately the dev has mentioned that unless this sells 100k copies, a level editor is highly unlikely. This is a great shame as I feel it would add so much more and give players a chance to really experiment with the unique gameplay mechanics that Ronin offers.

For its price, though, Ronin is a fantastic little game that offers a unique experience you won't find anywhere else, not even in Gunpoint.

Pick it up!

This is a fun game, however the performance right now is trash. If you don't have a seriously good rig good luck even maintaining 30fps, let alone dream of hitting a steady 60. If you can put up with that then give it a try, movement is fun and fluid and the city seems like a great place to explore.

If you can't deal with the low framerate then hold on a bit until the developers patch it. I will update this review if they do.

Edit 1: After playing a bit more I changed the review to a positive one because, although there are framerate issues and quite a few bugs, the core gameplay is very fun and unique, and worth giving a shot. My feelings on this are more neutral, but will be fully positive if the developers continue to work hard and fix the problems that have arisen.

A creative and interesting mod that takes a nice spin on what happens after the end of Portal 2. It has a lot of surprises and neat mechanics in there, however the mod suffers greatly from an apparent lack of playtesting. There are a number of times I completed tests just by jumping on the head of past-me to skip past areas. It's also possible to get into places that you're clearly not meant to be as you can walk through the world there. I stopped playing because I managed to get myself permanently stuck in a room in test chamber 5 I think it was.

Still, there's lots of interesting mechanics here and it has great potential, I'd just like to see it polished up a bit.

It's a free mod after all, so give it a shot.
