The game tricks you. At first you get real easy missions. You do a lot of cool things and shoot down a lot of bot planes and you have a lot of fun. After about your 15th mission the game starts putting you up against pro players and you maybe last 5 seconds each map? if you're lucky. I fell for the scam so you didn't have too. Game is unfair and MM sucks. I paid for premium so they got my 12 $ But that's the last they';l get out of me.

Good luck if you try it. You'll start to see your fun goes down after awhile and you'll understand. I regret even downloading it and playing it now.

Having dedicated a substantial 3k hours across OW1 and OW2, I cannot endorse OW2 in any capacity. The game's palpable lack of enjoyment is exacerbated by a pronounced flaw: the lamentable matchmaking. Blizz's alterations have rendered it a bad un-fun experience; matches sway between overpowering victories and devastating losses, with no equilibrium.

Had OW1 been preserved, myself and my friends within the OW community would've remained . Attaining the rank of masters in tank and support roles, my peak coincided with OW1's closure. Presently, the game teeters on the balance of death, and Blizzards endeavor to rejuvenate it via Steam is a lamentably at best.

I just completed the game but plan on going back for another run. The game is by far the best VR game I've ever played. This is a must have for any VR person.

What got me the most on this game was the extreme detail that the devs put into it. Every room or place you go has details that just stick out and you remember. Mugs you can pick up and shatter, filled soda bottles that fizz when you shake them, pans left on stoves, rotted food, everyday objects that you can pick up and see in great detail. The story is amazing and the last level (while I won't spoil it) shows VR at it's best and left me speechless and i was just blown away with the ending. I am looking forward to the their next game which I def will be getting once it comes out.

If I had any cons about the game I would say that it was over too fast and I wish there were more VR games like this. It's truly one of a kind game and you won't forget the experience.

I am very picky when it comes to games but this one is by far the one of the best

I have a list of best games I've played in my lifetime and this is in the top 5.

Queue simulator. Overrun by bots and gold sellers. Game is boring and you see nothing but bots running around. Was unable to play with my friend because of constant 10k waiting time which is roughly about 1hr 1/2. I have 125 hrs on record i'd say at least 40 of that was waiting. Did I mention bots? Amazon/Smilegate knows about the bot problem but they haven't done anything about it yet.

And whats the point of progression when 700,000 bots already beat you there? You feel like a pointless player and nothing is rewarding because in this huge world because of how many bots there are. If the bot problem was fixed this game would be really good.

I honestly don't even know how this game is free. Seriously I've played it like 5 times now and every time I have to stop early before I piss my pants.

I'd have to say it's in my top five if not the best post-apocalyptic games I've ever played. Very recommended. Game is so detailed, atmospheric, story rich, and in-depth. Once you start playing you won't want to stop. I just wish it didn't end. There are some bugs here and there but nothing game-breaking and the ending, for me, was a little subpar. But the positives by far outweigh the negatives.

If you're into open world post apocalyptic games you need to pick this up and you won't be disappointed. I got it on sale but It's def worth full price. If they make a Days Gone 2 i'll be picking it up 100%.

Rating: 9/10

I am really enjoying it so far. As stated in other reviews, I think a lot of negative reviews are coming from people who either don't know how to play this type of game or are having some hardware issues. Either way the developers are stepping up and attempting to help these people.

This type of game is meant to be played slow and methodical. You're not suppose to rush. You're suppose to take your time and watch your civilization grow. You'll come across dilemmas and issues that you'll have to decide how to deal with. Weather it be a city that is losing stability, a decision about weather or not to use cats or ferrets in order to deal with a pests problem or another civilization who just wants to be a bully. I think this adds to the atmospheric side of the game.

The style of game that makes it stand out is you are the one who decides how your civilization grows. You can choose from several different types of civilizations and implement them into your civilization. For instance, I started as a Nomadic Tribe. I then decided to become a Babylonian style of civilization focusing more on my research and tech tree. In my classical era I decided to implement Roman culture into my civilization in order to gain some stability and eventually get some Praetorian Guards in order to strengthen my military. I am always thinking what will happen to my civilization if XYZ happens. The possibilities are endless.

I will warn you though that this isn't an easy game and it's not face paced. I will also say the UI can get a bit cluttered. Like a game of chess there is a lot of information hitting you at once that you need to take in and plan ahead. If you have played the endless game series in the past you will catch on quickly. If not then you have a big learning curve ahead of you.

Either way, game is solid and i am thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Game is so unfair and rigged it's disgusting. The MM on this game is beyond anything I've ever seen in my entire life. Game will place you up against pro players or have dropped their life savings into the game and you'll never EVER be given a chance to play the game or win. It's just non stop unfairness and you'll end up regretting you downloaded the game and wasted time on it like me.

If I could give this game 2 thumbs down I would.

It's not a BAD game but it's not a GREAT game either, it's sorta the in-between game to play when you have no other games to play and only play for the story nothing else.

BUT

The story is meh and the characters are also meh. NPCs and AI are pretty sub par and each have their own unique side quests and story line which are kept my interests for a little. While the game kept my interests I had to force myself just to complete it which I did rather quickly and during the entire campaign I never got the "That was AWESOME!" feeling I got from other Obsidian games. The game does give you a lot of freedom which is big pro to it. You can decide to take different options to <attack>/<kill> just about anyone you feel you want too if you're cold heart desires.

Possible spoiler here:
For instance during the end I was given an opportunity to either wipe a colony of people that I once helped in the beginning of the game or turn on the person who ordered me to do it. I had to think long and hard about what I wanted to do and in the end I decided not to kill the colony that I helped. The game tugs on your moral and emotional strings like this from time to time which is also a good point of the game. I often thought to myself "What if I had decided to kill them? Would the game outcome been different?" Well, maybe when I play this game again I'll be a different person in game and find out.

The companions were rather annoying ( to me anyway). Most of the time they got in my way or just ran around like little kids in kindergarten yelling and screaming. However, they did serve their purpose of cannon fodder during big fights and. It wasn't till I recruited Nyoka, which odd enough is a drunkard, that actually got a decent companion.

The guns are pretty fun and you can tweak and upgrade them as you like which was probably the most fun I had in the game.

But in conclusion, I wish there was a middle ground for this game I am giving it a thumbs up because for me it wasn't a bad game and it did hit me emotionally and morally a few times which very few games do. I just wish the story would've been a bit more polished and I wish I would've had a "OH S*&@!" moment which sadly was lacking.

I'd say buy on sale or if you want to itch that story driven emotional game.

Game is extremely unforgiving to new players and the community aren't welcoming to players who aren't good at the game. Matchmaking is broken to the point where it places you against players that are x10 better than you and doesn't give you a chance to win ever, how is this fun?

All you do is go in and try then get stomped every game unless you win the lottery and get placed with better players on your team to carry you but even then it feels as if you didn't contribute to the win because you're being carried.

Servers constantly crash and kick you out, your team or the entire game. I guess if you have friends that play with you or you don't mind getting stomped every game unless you're carried then try it out but for me it's a waste of time and just un-fun.
