Enthralling. Enchanting. A veritable fairytale given form in a short, writing-heavy stealth adventure. I am writing this at 2 in the morning, having spent the entire day playing it since picking it up. The gameplay is refined and straightforward, with a tangible feeling of improvement as you gain passives to help you sneak around and pick up new gear that causes the guards to interact with you in different ways. The characterization and writing is fantastic, with conversational choices around every turn that change how quests play out, as well as a variety of charming little songs to play when appropriate.

Heavy emphasis on backtracking and little assistance with the multitude of (locate / fetch) quests -- you must be willing to read and remember lots of little pieces of information to get the most out of this game. The stamina system is cumbersome: it is a necessity to prevent you from simply sprinting past each encounter, but also slows you down considerably when you're beyond caring about the guards and focusing on getting from point A to point B.

Heavy recommendation for gamers who love stealth gameplay and involved worlds.
