Over 170 hours, Michelin Star obtained, all base game recipes upgraded to gastronomic level, and I was a professional chef at fine dining restaurants.

This game is hands down the best Chef / Restaurateur simulation on the planet. It can simulate the real life adrenaline rush of multitasking multiple pots and pans on the stove while managing food in the oven at the same time. It can simulate the organisational skills required to run a successful kitchen in real life. It allows you to create very creative plating options.

Unfortunately for all the good this game is capable of producing, It is a deeply flawed and buggy game. The game's design flaws are a mile long. It's bugs are a mile long. This combination of flaws and bugs work in tandem to severely limit the potential and play-ability of this game. The majority of the recipes in this game become unusable at gastronomic level because the bugs (temperature bugs) prevent food items from being stored and prepared BEFORE service time. While the flaws (limited utensils) prevent them from being prepared DURING service time without great difficulty and frustration. They work in tandem like a Wombo Combo from hell's kitchen!

The cardinal sin the devs are guilty of however is to implement an RPG system within a simulation game and FORCE the player to Prioritise the RPG before they can finally get to the simulation. To successfully play this game you would have to upgrade all your staff through the game's RPG system before you can finally have full control over your recipes, menu, and restaurant. This whole process can take you tens of hours BTW.

Despite all the flaws and all the bugs I have spent over 170 hours playing this game and the majority of that time has been enjoyable. This is still the best Chef / Restaurateur simulation on the planet. The potential for this game to grow is immense. Many of the bugs seem simple to fix. If the design flaws can be addressed, that will open up the game even more. Plenty of DLC opportunities just like the Sims series of games.

If you like this kind of game or like fine dining culture, I would highly recommend trying out this game and be patient with it. The majority of the flaws and the bugs can be overcome by being organised. Challenge your self to be as organised as possible. Have Fun and Bon Appetite!
