Yeah. It's one of the best games ever created. Basically Perfect.

I really liked this game for different reasons than W2. The battle system of knowing AP to move, where you could fire from, Percent hit and all that BEFORE spending your points was amazing. Weapon switching and planning moves based on character became a much more streamlined affair.

I found that on the 1st playthrough I only utilized 2 acquirable characters and it seemed i missed out on quite a bit of extra dialogue because of that. Next playthough I had 4, and many other dialogue options opened up.

The change from needing to be careful about what you pick up to just spamming LOOT ALL with this one was a weird choice. I found after fights just picking everything up and remembering later i needed to sell or see if any new armor popped, instead of feeling like it was a necessity to check the details right then.

The lack of big time choices felt off in W3. Yeah, you have a major choice that's truly either-or right in the beginning... but it's so much less of a thing compared to the AG center choice and who to save in W2. it was basically "oh yeah, this feels like the smarter choice. I'm gonna save these people." in W3 rather than the REALLY hard choice between food and water in W2.

It felt a lot easier? It was like... in W2, all kinds of misses and random crazy stuff could occur in battle, but in W3 it was just about who could kill as many as possible in the 1st round. If i took out 3-4 enemies in the 1st round, i would barely get hit. If I only took out 1, 3-4 of my crew could die just from random crits. It was just a reload game to find the best way to start a fight. The systems and UI for battle were great... but the AI (especially for the friendly turn holy crap... so insane how they just keep running through poison and fire) was not good at all.

I thought the story was well rounded. the voice acting was great, but why were the full zoomed/ animated convos with important characters so limited?

****Spoilers****

The patriarch, 2 of his kids, and the final one not even at the critical battle?? they really could've invested more to give us those personal 1-on-1's with each character each time you interacted with them... i mean they rendered the bodies and faces, why only once?

The choice at the end seemed ridiculous. What Angela Deth offered and what the Rangers actually stood for... it was totally at odds. I couldn't see any way why to choose her way. But, I know i will eventually to see that ending.

Overall! it was a really fun game. Now that their battle system is a little sleaker, add more depth, and get back to that fun cynical writing style of the 2nd game. 8/10

DON'T GET SUCKED INTO THE DECENT METASCORE!!!

Since Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, I haven't played such an awesome point and click adventure as this. Animation is stunning. Though appearing childish, the dialogue and surroundings have some great subtextual themes that anyone can get into.
When one story gets a little monotonous you can just switch to the other. First episode is only about 3.5 hours but so worth it... With the expectation that something else would be coming out.
Though when the second episode comes out... I can't imagine paying the same thing for it. It should absolutey be included free if you bought the first.
Now I had a good time with the game, but paying $25 for half a game... just bad business.
