When you can play it, the game loop is very simple, yet somehow satisfying.

The customisation is definitely going to be monetised out the ass.

As soon as the player population drops off, trying to play it more/less solo is going to be impossible.

Even some 'Trivial' rank missions are extremely touch and go with one player, and give you basically zero progress even when you manage to complete them (due to being the easiest difficulty).

It is good they have fixed the Quickplay feature, but making progress will be next to impossible without a large player community.

You'll also die to your own weapons more than seems reasonable, as well as giant tanky mobs which one shot you somewhat randomly. This is an intended gameplay feature. Just something to be aware of.

You also need to reload constantly,and lose all ammo remaining in a clip when you do, unlike every other modern video game.

It also seems apparent that the gear from the paid 'Warband' is vastly superior to the free path. Which means you can buy power.

In saying that. They do allow you to use earnable in game currency to buy the Premium Warband. I have already been able to afford it, just a matter of getting the required medals now to unlock things in there.

In this regard they have done monetisation good and correctly so far. Of which i am impressed.

Let's see if they can keep things going well now that this PSN account nonsense is being reverted...

It starts a bit slow, but the game is still *fun* the entire time.
The community is nice and welcoming. There are constantly new and different things to do being added.

The Story is the centrepiece here. Do not read reviews or watch videos. You'll thank me later.
And not to spoil anything, but they did something here which no other long running mmo can really claim to have accomplished... they *finished* the main story arc.
Anyone who has played an mmo before will understand the significance of this feat.

Survival Minecraft sort of, with Vikings, and much better graphics.

I really wasn't sure i'd like this before i bought it on a whim.
Turns out it's fantastic.
Bit of a shame no matter what you do Arthur is an ass, but that's just part of the character i guess.
Personally i'm spending about 70% of my time hunting for no good reason. And it's actually fun.
