This is by far the definitive way to play Dead Space. Period.
Motive took the original game and tore the limbs off of it, to leave us with all the best moments of the original and none of the boring stuff.
The atmosphere is great and I don't remember the original having as much tension or being as scary. It really solidifies the story that you are an average engineer named Isaac Clarke, thrust into a terrible nightmare you are trying desperately to escape from.
Props also to the sound and design team - every detail looks great and every door opening or blood spatter sounds amazing. The Ishimura really feels like a living, breathing space and it all adds up to create a great atmosphere.
If you haven't played DS before, this is the pinnacle. If you have, do yourself a favour when you can and pick this up. You wont be disappointed :)
