I started this server, I believe in the winter of 2007 with the much needed help of Beek, Kizzy(kirk), Mr. J, my son Taaron, and the inspiration of The Night of the Living Dead server that ME109 used to host. And being banned from a server we used to play on before they ran it into the ground by banning everybody in an already dying online community. Thanks TLO. One of my favorite TV series was and still is Star Trek, and one of my favorite movies, The Return of the Living Dead, based off of the movie The Night of the Living Dead. And there you have the title of the server. Kizzy and I wanted to call it something stupid which I can't remember but I know it was Star Trek themed. Beek saved us by calling it Wrath of Khan when he setup the first server which we rented from gameservers.com We used Shrikebots because they were the ones to use for a Linux server. Beek made some code that changes the skins of the axis bots to a trench coated Nazi skeleton, he gave them 600 health, the ability to fade in and out, and a butcher knife. But the bots were slow, and after a while I was sick of renting a server. So Taaron donated his outdated computer, and I figured out how to host the server from home in Holland MI. I still rent a computer server in Texas for $50 a year to host the fast download files.

We switched from Shrikebot to the infamous Sturmbot of Johan Linde
used Beeks code with some tweeks and now you have fast moving smart bots with a butcher knife and many different skins.

Over the years I have added hundreds of maps all them specifically chosen for a zombie style game play and modified for a certain feel, by using plugins, strategic flag placement, environment, atmosphere, instant respawn, perfect waypointing so the bots know where to go and what to do, and so many other tricks.
I started mapping with Hammer years ago and came up with so many wild creations, a lot of them being homes myself and family lived in or work places that I worked at, and anything us we could think of. Taaron always giving me ideas, some more ridiculous than others. Well anyway we still are hosting the server 15 years later on the same old donated machine of Taaron's, as long as it still runs we will have
Wrath of Khan [Return of the Living Dead]

Thank you everyone who has helped make this possible by playing the game, helping with the administration of the server, giving feedback and just being an awesome community. Now lets go play some DOD
