Early Access Review
A good start. Like the art style as it seems like a good change of pace from some of the other games I've played in the space. Eager to see the dev roadmap.

So far so good. There are some hitches that one would expect from an early access title:

Crashes, infinite loading screens, performance issues.

The base game itself is pretty nice. I like the graphic update and the clan system. As it stands right now, there is a lot of potential and so I will give it a thumbs up. If promises fail and the game doesn't live up to the potential through the early access period, I'll give it a thumbs down.

The best way I can describe this game is...It puts together a lot of puzzle pieces that a lot of other political games only offer singularly. It sort of takes all of the elements of what makes them great, and combines it for this experience.

For now, it gets a thumbs up. It's first shot out of the gate is in the right direction. For future development and improvement, the game will need to be a little bit more upfront about how to operate a successful campaign. An in-depth tutorial or a mock election to demonstrate the effects of marketing, rallies, interviews, etc.

In addition, I'd like to see more variety added. Only two parties are in the game (Republican and Democrat). I'd like to be able to create my own party or join the race as an independent.

More depth built into the existing systems would also go a long way. Most of the things you interact with are one or two dimensional. That's not a big gripe, I'm just saying it could be even better if certain things were expanded on.

Overall, it's a good game.

Nerfing an already weak killer -- don't spend your money until they reverse it or fix him. My recommendation will be a No until they do as well.

This is not a bad game at all and I'd recommend it at where it currently stands.

That being said, there are a few easy fixes that can be put in place, that would make the game a far better experience.

-Suggestions-
#1 - Some people don't want to be the counselors/Jason. Far too often I'm stuck being the counselors, when I really just want to play Jason. Sometimes it is the opposite. Selecting Jason as your spawn preference doesn't really have much of an effect on who you get. Most people put Jason as their preference as default anyways, so it's mostly a roll of the dice. Don't force people to play a certain way. Let them choose.

#2 Mid-game quitters. They need to be punished. If someone leaves a match mid-game, give them an abandonment penalty. Each time they leave within a certain timeframe, the penalty increases. It's frustrating when you are a counselor, and half your team leaves 5 minutes into the game. You know at that point you are screwed.

#3 Find a better balance for Jason. I love playing Jason, but he is OP as hell. Granted, he IS a supernatural killer, and he is really powerful in the movies. I don't mean to completely nerf him, just make some small adjustments. Maybe reduce the amount of traps he has, or the distance he can shift by a little. Playing against 8 counselors should feel competitive, and currently it isnt. If I am playing Jason and I camp/trap the 3 locations (cars/boat/phone), I'll never lose. It shouldn't be that way.

I am looking forward to the future DLCs, and I hope it improves the experience a little bit. I think the 7/10 rating it has here on Steam is an accurate one. It's worth playing, but it's just barely above average. Making some of the changes I listed would improve that score a bit more.

Functionally, this is not a bad game. In fact, I quite like how this game playes.

The units have some nice details, the strategy is satisfying, and each faction/race seems to have a sense of being unique.

That being said, I am not okay with the monetization policy with this title, and as such am giving it a big fat NO for the recommendation. I am sorry, but stripping essential game features, then packaging it as an expansion is unacceptable.

I get it. This is a product, made by a company that needs to make money. But in what other industry do customers allow this kind of BS? It's like buying a car, full price, then finding out they stripped the tires just before they put the keys in your hands, forcing you to buy the tires before driving it off the lot.

TLDR: Good game mechanics -- company is employing scumbag DLC policies.

Advice: Wait until this game is severely discounted. I'd pay 30 bucks for the full title + ALL of the DLC.

Do you like complex economic simulations? Do you like games filled with simulation features, and a rich gameplay?

This game is not for you then.

I spent roughly an hour and a half getting used to the game itself. Learning the features, how to research products, how to produce, etc. After that, I can confidently say it only takes me 5 minutes of real life time to net 10 million a day for the company.

All I did was start out with the biotech, and sold over the counter cold/flu pills for 4000 dollars per PILL. How does this work, you ask? Well, it appears the developers created the advertisement to work as a price + demand modifier. Not only do more people purchase your product when you activate the advertisement, but they will also pay MORE for it.

It cost me 3 bucks to produce a single pill, and with 5 minutes of in-game time, maxed out advertisement, I set it to 4000 bucks a pill, and people bought every single pill. All 1400 of them. In fact, I could have done it in even less time, but it took me 4 minutes to research advertisement.

Do not recommend. This belongs in early access.
