Helldivers 2 is one of the best games I've ever played. There are so many details, the way your guns or cape drags in the sand as you walk by sand dunes, the craters blown in said sand dunes by heavy artillery or 1100 pound bombs, the gunfire from what is at this point dozens of unique weapons, and on top of all of that an extremely charming and interesting world they've built to give context to all these gigantic, awesome explosions and what they're blowing up.

When the first game came out I adored it for a lot of the same reasons, and Helldivers 2 is just bigger, better, and FAR more explosive than the first one. There's some bizarre bugs that come up every now and again, but that's really all I have to complain about with it at all, this is a phenomenal game that is worth your time.

System Shock Remake is criminally, stupendously good. Some of that immersive sim, survival horror goodness. Fantastic voice acting and characters, the levels are all fantastic, the enemies are a ton of fun to fight, this thing is hideously underrated and so much fun. And they even updated it recently and reworked some of the worst sections of the game like the final boss (which weren't even bad, they just made them *better*).

I have literally no complaints about it at all, it's just an absolute rollercoaster all the way through. Some may not like the backtracking at a later point but I didn't care personally, and its a little confusing knowing what to do and where you're supposed to go next sometimes so there's no shame in looking up a guide.

With the critical bugs fixed and performance addressed to some extent, I can give a hesitant recommendation for Darktide. It's a fun game and a lot of its core mechanics are a very good iteration on mechanics in Vermintide 2. Most of the classes benefitted positively from things like the toughness changes, and the extra focus on ranged combat, while cool, is a change from Vermintide that only partially works.

Overall, I'd say it's a 7/10 right now. It could be genuinely great but it needs a LOT of changes and some new content.

To tl;dr everything up, Darktide is a giant mess right now mechanically. Maybe it'll be great later, who even knows. The core gameplay is extremely fun but the only actually well-designed class is Veteran, with the others being in various states of disaster.

To start with, Darktide has 4 classes but it feels like only one of them was actually designed for how its combat works. Supposedly they had more classes during development or classes didn't really exist but the system didn't work so they ripped it out and started over, and it left the game with Veteran as the poster child for working with all of the game's systems, and the other three having varying degrees of jank/nonfunction.

To start off with the nitty gritty mechanics, Veteran is the only class where they really understood what his job was. He has a gun and he shoots people, and they gave him lots of feats that work towards that goal by giving him damage reduction/avoidance towards ranged damage, a larger toughness pool for, again, resisting ranged damage, and extra ammo, gun damage, and so on.

Then you look at Ogryn and his feats are a giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess, with a lot of weird stuff being in there like bleed builds that do no damage, infinite cleave builds that do no damage, and having melee weapons that also just do no damage. It's a pretty sad class in all honesty, and that's why most people run the slab shield on him, it's a weapon that does no damage but it at least makes the Ogryn not die instantly when one guy with an Autogun looks at him. Even then he's not even good at tanking, ranged enemies obliterate his stamina instantly anyway and with low toughness it means he just gets chipped down. I just don't really understand what the purpose of this class is. He's cool and can be fun to play, sure, but he has no real purpose. He isn't good at tanking, and that isn't a role that works in a game with frequent ranged combat, his crowd control is bad and not as good as the Foot Knight stuff from Vermintide 2 that was lifted and put on Ogryn, and above all else, he just does no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ damage.

Psyker works good. The only issue he has is his feats are a giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess and it has efficiency problems. There is a lot of focus on his "grenade" ability, brain burst, but brain burst does no damage and takes forever to do no damage on higher difficulties, so this leaves Psyker railroaded into ignoring it and the mechanics surrounding it almost completely and just focusing on staffs. It also leaves a majority of his feats pointless because of this. It's not a *bad* playstyle, but it's very bizarre why it was designed like this.

Then there's Zealot, who is probably the saddest and most badly-designed class of them all. Unlike every other class, Zealot has a button that allows him to commit instant suicide. His ability is a charge move that can be locked onto an enemy to charge towards it with a guaranteed crit. Then he dies instantly to 20 guys with lasguns shooting him and deleting his health and toughness bars in 1 frame. His grenade isn't any better, it just stuns in the same radius as the Vet's frag grenade that kills + staggers, but he gets one less of them and doesn't even have feats to regenerate them like Veteran does. Why is it like this??? They made a melee damage-focused class and then gave him no easy ways to close gaps, and he doesn't even do that much more damage than the other classes in melee. His feats are terrible too, they're completely impotent and boring. What happened here was they lifted Zealot's character design from one of Saltzpyre's careers in Vermintide 2, also named Zealot, but then didn't change anything about it to compensate for this being a completely different game. In that one, Zealot gained extra damage while low on green health, so you were supposed to get very low and then refill your healthbar with temporary health, meaning you were constantly ticking down in durability while not in combat but in exchange had a significant damage boost. That aspect is in Darktide too, but Darktide doesn't have temporary health, it has toughness that regenerates, so when you lose health that stuff isn't coming back, and the only heals are full-heals, meaning that one of the Zealot's core mechanics literally doesn't work. This all isn't even talking about ranged enemies. Zealot actually shares a lot of ranged weapons with Veteran which helps him significantly, but the class is honestly just sad.

Trudograd is an improvement in nearly every conceivable way from the first ATOM RPG. It trims a lot of the fat of the first one, smooths out gear progression, and is overall a very focused, more flavorful experience than the first ATOM. The combat is better too, and it helps that you're not stuck on scrap guns and crossbows for the first 35 hours, mostly because of the rebalance but partly because the game is much shorter than the first, with my first playthrough ending at 25.5 hours with me not doing some of the side quests. There's definitely a lot of stuff I locked myself out of through my choices too, and I'll probably come back and replay it at some point in the distant future.

Overall, I'd rate it a 9/10, there's so many cool characters and flavorful things happening in it, it's just a fun RPG to run around in. I'd buy the game at full price, if it ever goes on sale you're practically stealing from these developers with how much I got out of it.

It is rare, especially nowadays, that something makes me feel genuine joy. I grew up with Half Life as a series. It was one of the first games I ever played with my Father. Ever since I've been hooked on the Source Engine and its various games. There's just something about it, with the specific way that it renders things and depicts the world around it using the physics engine that it has. It has very nostalgic qualities to me. Playing Entropy Zero 2 is like taking a nostalgic shotgun blast directly to the base of my spine.

This is the best Source Engine mod, it is not even a contest. I would pay money for this, and if Valve made it it would have made the 15 year wait for Half Life 3 worth every single second. I don't know if they ever will make Half Life 3, but to me, now, that's fine. I don't need more than this. Playing through EZ2 I could feel the absolute love for Half Life and its themes every step of the way, the entire game is a Greatest Hits of basically every singleplayer Valve game all rolled up into an 8-hour bun. I loved literally every second of this, and should Breadman and his team decide to make another installment, I'll gladly read every dev diary for it just like I did with Entropy Zero 2, for all these years, all over again.

I give Entropy Zero 2 my highest recommendation. If you in any way enjoy singleplayer shooters, play this. This game made me very happy.

Very very good game, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Postal. My only current complaints are that it has horrible performance but this will likely be addressed very soon. No-brainer game to pick up if you want some dumb fun.

I respect this game, but I do not recommend this game. Estranged: The Departure is made by 1 dude who wanted to make the sequel to his Half Life 2 mod on a newer engine like Unreal. The bad part is it's just not as fun as the first one. The atmosphere isn't scary at all, the gunplay is somehow worse, and beyond that it's just boring to play. It took 45 minutes of playing for the game to even "start" where you have a gun to actively shoot things with, and by that point I was bored enough that I turned the game off and will not be finishing it.
