Without meaningful overhauls or new mechanics this dlc should start at 15, even paying that feels like too much. Unfortunately, lower value per dollar is the trend of Warhammer 3 dlc compared to games 1 and 2.

Amazing quality coming from the folks who can't seem to stop touching their employees inappropriately. Maybe stop harassing your employees long enough to understand how to handle aspect ratios?! Can't remember the last 'AAA' game that couldn't display resolutions properly (only 2k to boot), but again not surprised with Ubisoft.

Despite the wonderful highs I've experienced playing coop with friends in this game, it was very difficult deciding how to approach this review. I am very split on the argument of value for this game. On the one hand, if you're playing multiple game modes I think there is (barely) enough items to call this complete on launch.

The weapons are well designed and I have enjoyed using everyone of them for at least some time. The executions are gloriously over the top - until playing on the higher difficulties and then they feel earned :). What is here for enemies is also well done, I love to hate the ambushing Lichters and appreciate how soloable all the enemy types are - no auto grab like in the vermintide games - if you are badass enough you can stand alone basically forever.

If you don't play at least 2 of the 3 modes (solo/campaign), PvE, and PvP) then I don't recommend paying over $40 max as on release this game is VERY light on content - about a 5 hour solo campaign and only 6 PvE ops to start (I'm not into PvP these days). There are also the rampant disconnects and some lag spikes to this but overall I've actually been impressed by the quality of this release (although I now have a beefy computer - my friends have had more chugging/slowdown during gameplay but mostly hasn't affected their enjoyment). It's the quality of the gameplay itself that has allowed me to give a thumbs up despite the bare-bones content. If more isn't added to the coop experience in the next few months I may well turn this review the other way, but again it is a blast with friends.

I was going to recommend this dlc - it's easily Owlcat's best writing to date I've experienced, and I have all 3 of their games.

Unfortunately, the quest giving for bits is so poorly done I just wasted over 2 hours figuring out why I couldn't finish the main quest and get my companions back. I was required to go make a decision I had already made up my mind to not do. Screw you for both hiding this and forcing my hand for another do nothing conversation.

$9 for what was $5 only a couple years ago, but same quality of content.

As someone who played Magic the Gathering for about a decade, this game does a great job scratching that deck building itch without the price. A few mods have also been nice for adding some minor additional progression since there is a bit of luck to your pool as with most rogue likes.

Another race suffering from CA's constant under budgeting of the dev team, Vampire Coast is sadly falling farther behind an enjoyable state. Also the price for this DLC for game 3 is absurd given you're missing out on their story campaign which is bound to game 2. This company is in serious need of re-evaluating the prices they charge consumers given the constant lack of support for the product's out of sight areas, such as this entire DLC.

I struggle to get into a lot of military sim games as I don't enjoy 'same vs same' contests. This game has enough realism to satisfy my military friends and represents the differences well enough I often find myself adjusting strategy based on the specific unit I have rather than just the type/weapon. That being said, once you've played a bit (especially if someone has a basic grasp on the units to help remind you) you get a good sense of the overall quality of units/armies so you have a baseline to help work off of.

Definitely a coop only title for me as the combined arms without pause is way too much for me to handle, but working in a team with my chosen subset of units is a ton of fun and I'm sure my friend group will be playing this for many more hours. Mod support also very important for fine tuning controls and handled some of our biggest gripes once we got a feel for the game play.

This is the first rework I think CA has missed the underlying theme of the race. Having a set window to accomplish things in and rushing to do that doesn't feel like the painstakingly methodical dwarfs we've come to know and love. I don't mind the rewards beyond thinking the free army is silly, but the mechanics of how leave me feeling under the gun for the whole campaign, far more rushed than strategic.

Another positive, the amount of content is good and I have certainly been entertained by this DLC.

However, the underlying issues of the game such as:
- units have trouble following orders on the battlefield, both in speed of response and actual execution of said order
- very difficult to see terrain issues like line of sight at a glance, map topography needs serious help
- more pathing issues on the campaign map (e.g. not using shorter sea/land path if not already on that same terrain)

consistently interrupt my enjoyment of the game and lower my opinion of the quality to where I can't value these packs as worth the asking price.
