Worthy Suikoden 2 spiritual successor. It's not as good as Suikoden 2, it has some flaws, but generally, an excellent game.

pokemon impact: satisfactory breath of the valheim ark
It doesn't even try to hide its influences, feels a little dubious sometimes.
it's pretty good so far though!
Will update when I played more~

TLDR: Game is stellar, pun intended.

This is not super high budget like Resident Evil remakes, they also didn't take as much liberties.
Some aspects of the game have aged poorly, like the writing. The story itself is serviceable, it's sortof what you expect from a JRPG of the time. The gameplay though... :D
They just don't make them like this anymore.

If you're in your late thirties and you miss the JRPG's you played on the SNES and the PS1, this game is for you. It nails the feeling of playing these better than Octopath and such. The writing can be a little weak in places but it's a generally coherent game that works on all levels with systems that are fun to engage with and don't overstay their presence. It's hard to express how much of a gem this is, if this review appeals to you and the demo makes your neurons fire, then please treat yourself and get it. ♥

I got immediately hooked by the gameplay, and then it hooked me again into its world and the stakes during the last 1/3rd of the game. I've enjoyed this much more than soulsbornes, and I hope from branches out more like they did here, they make amazing producst with an old-school touch that is non-existent in the modern market. ♥

From the perspective of someone that never really played AC before, this feels like a modern push forward boomer shooter with a pretty decent, albeit thin jrpg story.

33hours to finish the game might seem short, but there's multiple endings and additional content on NG+'s to incentivize repeat playthroughs.

Difficult encounters warning, the tutorial boss is a portent of things to come, there's 5~6 hard bosses in there. If you get frustrated with difficult encounters, you should probably avoid this. If you decide to try still but get frustrated on that copterdude, then probably better to refund.

It's exactly what you remember of arcade racers in the 90's, rose tinted nostalgia glasses included.
If what you see in the trailers make your neurons fire, yes, it's exactly what you expect, get it. =)

This game can be so incredibly frustrating, rofl.
Things can go very wrong in combat in seconds, unless you have a very meta ship after you've studied all the things that make a ship great for 100 hours.
Game is very good however, can both be played like SPAZ 1 or an RTS with half a dozen units.
When you're not in combat, it's a lot of factorio mixed with some colony management sim.
Gameplay loop feels thin right now, but what is there has no rights to be this satisfying.
