Early Access Review
Money grabbing leeches, Do not buy this game to support Daybreak they are A55holes. £40 GBP for a game that was supposed to be free to play on release. I regret investing in these people when they released Early Access., Do not make that mistake.

Skip this title.

Had a blast playing this game and have gone from the sidewinder , Viper Mk III , Vulture , Ferderlance , Python and now to the Mighty Anaconda
Currently fly the Federal Assault Ship( my combat ship) and the Might Anaconda (trader/hauler fittings)

Powerplay was brought in to help bridge that gap so the community comes together but it can be played offline so you will never bump into another commader but can alter the glalaxy goal, Which kinda makes it pointless as it was supposed help the game be more MMO which it definately isn't. You can earn a boat load of money doing the powerplay and keeping your rank up to level 4 no doubt. I went from earning a few million a hour to earning 20 million + a hour which is amazing i cannot fault the reward of doing the powerplay content.

It also lacks ship custominization for weapons i think they may be 14-15 different types but only 3 viable set ups worth using for a space game or a combat game they needs to be more.. alot more.
Skins are availiable for purchase from the elite website which i have picked up ferderlance and python skins they look awesome but are purely cosmetic.

Wings - Groups is only 4 players which again is too small for a supposed MMO so if you want to play with a bunch of your friends you kinda have to split the group up and go to different locations if you are all wanting to do the same tasks again .. Why limit the Wing to 4 players.

Also the overall content there is not much in the base game to do, Yes the world is vast , Yes the game plays flawlessly 99% of the times. The graphics again Fantastic also the sounds of some of the ships are absolutely insane and you do feel fully immersed but all that jazz cannot hide the fact they is very little to do overall.

The below has now changed you can buy Elite and the Horizon DLC seperately!!! for a fair price.

About the horizons DLC which is basically a standalone game as it includes the base game for free yet they call it DLC ... I don't understand this but ok, is another 30 pounds for some more content which actually hasn't been completed yet so again it's a empty DLC with limited features and then you will get the rest as the year progresses but at the end of the year a new dlc will come out again as a standalone game i would assume which includes horizons and elite dangerous.. Confusing right ? Yeah me too it seems this buisness model is a little backwards. I would prefer elite to be 20 GBP and then each DLC after that 20 GBP like it used to be. I'm not hating on horizons as it does look fantastic but it's just the way frontier have gone about selling the DLC/Exspansions. Will i be getting horizons no doubt but i won't pay full price i will wait until its on a sale super cheap. As i own elite dangerous why do i want horizons and a second copy of elite which is basically useless to me? it should be giftable to a freind.

I enjoy playing this game it is a blast i have put in 300+ hours so yeah i do enjoy it but just the lack of content is my main issue really.

Should you buy it? Yes if you don't mind any of the bad points i mentioned above but if you are looking for plenty of things to keep you occupied and seeing new things each time you venture out into the darkness of space then you will be dissapointed overall as alot of the systems are identical to the other places you visit.

Has promise no doubt but i think the best way to enjoy the Elite series is maybe wait 3-4 years for the rest of the expsanions then pick the game up so all the content fun and gameplay is there for you to fully enjoy.

I guess it's time to update this review
Small changes have been happening and new features are coming in the new year.
Multicrew is going to have a purpose, not just being in a wing killing in a Rez site/PVE combat for bounties/money , They will be implementing missions for multicrews which we have been asking for since horizons was released.
All missions now are actually worth doing for money, A mix of courier, passenger and cargo and you can be earning major money. Yes you need gain the rep too get to that point but honestly it's worth spending about 6 hours obtaining it. You will be getting paid as you level up just not massive amounts until friendly reputation, Once you get that level you will see a massive increase in mission payments and can easily earn from 5 mill to 100 million per hour as your rep keeps increasing further. The biggest vessels kitted are around 700-800 million so in 16 hours you can obtain one of the best ships in the game and completely decimate anything in your path.
New ships are coming aswell to fill in the gap around the Vulture, Ferderlance,Python and Anaconda. Was needed so people aren't going to be stuck in one of those until they get to close to the end game ships.

Things are looking alot more brighter with Elite and i hope they can kick on with adding more in the coming year, I know i wouldn't previously recommend this title but with these small and subtle changes to the game it's brought a whole new element to work towards.

The engineers update is cool aswell. It allows you to work towards fine tuning your ships by rolling for certain perks on your ships systems ie weapons, modules etc allow you to extract extra stats( i've not worked on it yet but it's something i'm looking to start soon)

Most underrated game i have played.

This game is great fun and well thought out with very nice nice world enviroments, the mobs are also awesome too plenty of variety.
Not used to Top Down games but after a few matches got the hang of it and have been loving it, I have been playing it with a buddy and some of the planets have been tricky with all the obstacles you come across but not too difficult to frustrate you.
Bit gutted i didn't pick up the vangaurd edition for the DLC, my buddy said the same aswell because its worth it the game is pretty awesome.
Won't spoil it but accidental deaths happen alot... Well i said accidental, dropping a create on your mates head is brilliant

I recommend this game i think these guys have come up with a fun game that creates alot of sh1t and giggles

Overkill lost the plot with microtransactions but then realised the community is their bread and butter and reversed that change. I can now recommend this game once again.

I purchased this game not long after release and only played around 10 hours, I didn't think it was very good to be honest but alot of that came from the issues i had with payday 1 forever disconnecting and unable to sync with my friends online.

A few days ago i have begun playing it again and have begun to appreciate this game alot more< it is a absolute blast running the hiests in stealth or guns blazing.

Sometimes it can be frustrating to run with people that aren't team players and you keep failing missions but if you get a good group you can Ace most hiests on any difficulty.
Another is being kicked for low level( i guess level means skill on payday2 xD ) even though i don't know how to run the hiests my Cop killing skills are second to none so i mainly just run defence if we are going guns blazing keeping them away from the other guys doing the objectives.

A few days have passed again and now i have begun purchasing a fair amount of the various DLC for it and non of it has dissapointed, It all seems well made and useful. Granted non of it is really required to have a good time playing this game.

Pick the game up on sale and it is money well spent, not too sure on full price unless you have some buddies to roll with to keep it fresh.

Games a blast so give it a shot.

Kids play Fifa
Boys play Pro Evo
Men play Rocket League.

This game should be called Sweat Simulator .
Too play this game and enjoy it make sure you have multiple sets of clothes on standby you will need them plus fresh towels.

Ever watched the episode from Top Gear which features football with cars and thought damn that looks crazy fun i want to do that ... well now you can without having to purchase a Toyota Aygo/ Renault Twingo ,hiring a bunch of professional racing drivers, owning a race track and being able to purchase a football big enough to play with.

Pro's

The only game i own where i wake up each morning with torn hamstrings, ruptured biceps , slipped discs and trapped nevers without using nothing but my 360 controller.

This game looks good, runs well, super fun and did i mention makes you sweat like crazy.

Graphics and all the other jazz is more than adequate. It ain't witcher 3 , GTA V or Batman Arkham Knight good but more than enough for this type of game.

Cons

a few crashes here and there completely random but not sure if this is just luck, But if the game does crash it instantly closes and if you was in game with friends you should be able to rejoin fast enough without loosing your place.

witnessed a few serious lag spikes on the 2nd day of playing but 4 days on a stutter happened maybe twice in one game other than that it has been solid.

A little annoyed to hear a paid DLC is coming with so little customization already added and map variety, and also PC gamers having to pay again after we purchased the game anyway, while ps4 gold members get the game free aslong as they keep subscribing to PSN. i believe they will need to purchase the DLC aswell.

overall i recommend this game 100%. I don't play the single player just with my buddies and we are having a blast playing this game online. More than suitable for all ages to have a enjoyable experience.

DON'T BUY THIS CRAP.

That is what i thought when i purchased this game it was poor, Not sure if it was my system or what but it ran like absolute crap.

But after about a year finally thought you know what i should try this game again as i love motorcycles and i love racing games.

I think i judged this game too soon maybe it just needing a few patchs i do not know but now it is really fun and can be a blast. It isn't a great game but it does what it should well which is more than i thought before.

I always like to come back to games i have revieved as Not Recommended and see if they have changed and this game has , so from now on i can only recommend this game. I cannot see the dev's going backwards.

This game is worth of your money.

7/10

The thing with Arma 3 is , you don't just get arma ,you also get access too all the other game modes created by the community for this game.

I find myself playing mods of arma rather than actual base game arma 3 which is good but also boring.

where to start with arma.. well the pro's
Beautiful Maps which are gigantic, you can be wandering for at least 2-3 hours sometimes and you only hear players around you but not actually engaged in combat with, because they are in the next city but you can hear major warfare breaking out so you bunker down with your squad and get ready for heavy incoming from the enemy.. but you are west of the city and they move south, but you sit there waiting for the enemy to come through youre ready made ambush but it never happens. In the back of your mind you know the enemy has gone but the solider inside tells you to wait to get the kills. but they never come and the battle you was about to have at 2am... never happened but before you finally move 5 hours have passed and it is now 7am and time to sleep.

Vehicles
vehicle variety is fairly good to keep you busy driving or sailing or maybe fancy a helicopter trip around the map to take in the beautiful scenery...

Combat
Where to start with arma 3's combat.. Well it can be epic the size of the battlefield makes battles ferocious .. upto 40 enemies coming at you from all directions with a vast array of vehicles. you just have to bunker down get on voice chat and battle for your life. because this is arma at it's finest. But they is also a downside to Combat .. due to the maps being so huge finding these battles can be hard and most of the time its like walking round a apocolyptic world and becomes boring. Also the movement mechanics can sometimes be a little clunky changing direction or viewing mode so be prepared at all times.. because changing position or view when a enemy has got close can cost you your life. so be smart.

Graphics
Well it looks absolutely amazing no cartoon design here peeps this is realism at its best. few things could do with a remodel or what have you but all games have these things so overall Arma 3 looks absolutely amazing.

Community mods

This game has it all. If you have arma make sure to check out the community on steam and also elsewhere this game has hundreds of game modes and complete mod packs which change the game completely.
I play Altis life , Breaking Point and Wastelands mainly but these mods are just the touch of a ice berg compared to how much content this game has is unbelieveable

the Con's.

Optimization.. Well this games biggest issue.. some days i will jump on a server and i will be up in the mid 80's on fps and game runs smooth as silk, then others i log in and im grinding to a halt at around 15fps.. this is where Arma needs work. they have patched it alot but damn this game can frustrate you till you quit. my friends use all different set ups and we all have the same issues regardless of using intel vs amd. i think its just the day in which you log in as to wether the server is going to allow you to play at all. if by chance you log in and its running smooth just never log out so you don't have to deal with crippling fps drops or lag so bad you play for 3 hours and travel so far across the map you wait for the achievement to pop up at the top saying "level complete" until suddenly the character stutters and you reappear where you logged in 3 hours ago and realize everything you have done has been lost... Welcome to arma 3.
Really arma isn't that bad but it does have poor optimization so take that into account before purchasing.

Overall Arma 3 is fantastic and really good fun . would i recommend it yes! would i recommend it when it's not on sale .. no. the fact you get hundreds of mods and such which the community has created makes this game a bit of a bargain when it is on sale. but wether or not you can play the game when you want due to shockingly bad fps rate is the issue why i wouldnt pay full price for this game.

overall arma gets 7/10 from me.

This is no Arcade sim, if you like Need for speed,Grid etc with the arcade driving style then this game might not be for you. If you like racing simulators and like to be challenged on you're skill then this game is for you.

lacks cars.
lacks racetracks aswell

Went 145mph and spun it into the wall and wrecked my car, will wreck my car again ! 9/10

Ok been playing this game on and off for a few days now and was using a controller.. Yeah it's fun with the controller but you can't really get a feel for the cars dynamics, So i went out and purchased a logitech g27 with wheel stand and it's enhanced the gameplay by miles so if you can afford to do so i would get a wheel to give this game the immersive driving style it deserves.

You don't need a high end steering wheel i just wanted the logitech due to the reviews about this awesome bit of kit and decided it was the one for me and i'm totally happy with the purchase, but im pretty sure a cheaper wheel would bring you the same satisfaction.

Just to top off what i have already said this game is really good, The map mods avaiable are really good some are life like and others are just low detailed replicas but that still doesnt detract from the beauty of the games mechanics which make this a awesome simulator.

I would recommend this game even with the high price tag if you are a Racing game fan and want to have the challenge of driving fast and keep the car in one piece.

It does lack tracks and cars but rumour has it they are brining out DLC soon even though i think the game price already warrants the cars should be free.. but hey all developers are now using DLC to draw in more money so it was only a matter of time until assetto corsa did aswell.

Kids play - Need for Speed
Boys play - Grid
Men play - Assetto Corsa

My take on Planetary Annihilation,

Only played a couple of hours but seems a very good RTS game, Plenty units, nice UI and decent game play , had one crash to date, But overall seems a very good game was worth grabbing in the steam sale for sure, i will update it more when i have seen more of the game .

Tried this game a few more times in multiplayer and it was forever disconnecting so was never able finish a game so went back to SC2 and SC: FA which are better games ever though they are alot older.

Only updateing this as they have just released a new DLC. which should of been already added into the game when it was released. Not impressed with Uber Entertainment at all don't think i will ever buy another title from them. Robbery at its finest.

My take on Grid Autosport.

Good Points

Beautiful Graphics, The track and cars look brilliant with the HD Pack cranked right up makes it just delicous to look at while racing.
Mechanics, The game in itself is very good not full simulation but enough to keep the "die hard" racing fans more then happy.

Eveything all in all is very good, nothing you can really say that is truly bad about the gameplay or the multiplayer versions of the game other than some racers as like most MP's want to ram and spin you off rather than race cleanly.

Bad Points

TC/ABS the assits in multiplayer you should be able to disable either ABS OR TC not have to have both off which makes for some really good on the edge racing, but alot of people that aren't used to racing without ABS, will steam down the home straight and lock up, wiping out 2-3 racers at the start of a race.

DLC - Just not enough cars even with all the DLC needs to be atleast another 2 car packs to come to make up for some of the race classes that only have 1,2 or 3 cars unless it is a specific race class of course. Needs more older cars aswell as newer cars, A porsche or another daily drive supercar wouldn't go a miss or even some more hot hatchs to blast round with.

DLC - Again frustrating really.. If you are a player with DLC all the cars should be availble in the selection list even if the host doesn't own the DLC you do. As for tracks then they shouldnt be of course avaiable to those without DLC making them unable to join a game but for cars they should be unlocked at all times along as you own the DLC to use such cars.

Multiplayer rammers can be a bit annoying when they purposely crash in to youre car, rendering it a complete wreck and have to retire, But on a side note it can be fun when you are waiting for the ram and you give it a bit of flick and they slam right into a wall so i guess it is a trade off really :)

Drifting for me i don't think it is very good but that is my opinion maybe other drivers really enjoy the drift on Grid Autosport.

Overall the game is pretty awesome but a few little things that i don't like have dropped it a point or i would of gave 10/10

9/10 not too shabby.
