Game breaking bugs include lag, timing out, crashes, and a number of toxic players.

One example is yesterday I was team killed (for stopping to heal in the blue zone whilst driving) and reported the players - today I see they are still playing, and not only this, but I was penalised in Ranked Mode for being team killed. The ranked mode is severely because if the game crashes, or lags, and you are killed, you get penalised; a toxic player team-kills you, and you are penalised; you are killed and you don't want to hang around until the end of the game , you are penalised. Additionally, there are now clearly hackers in ranked mode using aim bots, map hacks etc.

The game is so broken, but the devs do not seem interested in fixing it. Until they do something about the hackers, the lack of punishment for toxic game play, and the broken ranked system which penalises players because of how buggy this game is, I cannot recommend this game to new players.

Really enjoyable game.


Controls are good. Combat and weapons feel satisfying (does not feel anywhere near as awkward as it does in GTA). The animation is the best I've seen in a video game. Fantastic soundtrack, too. Most of all the story is fantastic. It's like something from a TV series. Really pleased with my purchase - so much, so I'm going to buy the season pass.

Also no complaints with the graphics. I know they're releasing a patch, but a 30fps really does not matter for this type of game - it's not like you're playing a twitch shooter like Doom or Unreal. Just buy it, enjoy it, and ignore the dumb comments. The devs should be proud.

I was a big fan of the origional on the Spectrum, so I had no hesitation in backing this when it placed on Kickstarter. Over one year now, and this is my most played game in my Steam Collection.

For me, it's the perfect game - although randomness makes up a large part of the game, what you have to bear in mind is you are managing risk/probability. Once you realise that, and develop a playstyle accordingly (such as being a defensive player who plans for the worst - such as the enemy wizard having a bolt, or a blob if you get to close to him) then you'll really appreciate how deep the game is. Which is best summed up as a mixture of chess and poker, and I think this is why it works so well. The Realms are interesting, however for me the best part of this game is that the community as it's really friendly and unlike any other game I've played online before.

In summary, 10/10. I would recommend.

I feel like I basically paid £25 to fund somebody's adventures in Unity Engine.

Shame on CA. They are selling this game for 39.99 on the Mac App Store.
