No, i dont need a PSN account for my PC game.

It remains negative due to the unprofessional and childish Discord moderators and CMs, who only worsen the situation.
As well as the poor balance decisions.

Early Access Review
Overhyped garbage / 10.
I played a lot of early access games, and this is one of the worst in terms of content.
I was bored after 2 hours.
In its current state its maybe worth 10€, asking for 30€ is insolence.

It's an absolute scam and a slap in the face for people who have supported this game from day one.
X-Box players get 16500 Aquilas.
Steam players get 2500 Aquilas after Beta testing this game for almost a year.
Thx for nothing, Fatshark.

Positive for now, subject to change. Keep it up, CA.

Advise for anyone considering buying this game:

Just don't. And don't buy any other product from CA in the future. At this point, it's just pure greed and completely out of touch with their loyal fan base.
For a game released in 17. 02. 2022 it is still a buggy mess, paid content (DLC) with game breaking bugs doesn't get fixed for month, horrible communication and insulting statements from CA higher ups.
WH2 is one of my favorite games of all times (over 2700hrs), but this here is just a cash cow that CA want to milk till it's dead with the least amount of effort put in. As a passionate Warhammer and Total War fan, it's really a shame and makes me sad, this game could have been so much more.

On the topic of DLC and a statement to CA:

Your Chief Product Officer did a great job in threatening the fan base, which is just a disgrace, really pathetic and unprofessional. It would have been better to just shut up and say nothing.
Just let WH3 die and see how that's going to work out for you, I dare you.
Pharaoh is going to be a huge flop, hyenas is going to be a huge flop, and you know it.
So again, I dare you to let your biggest cash cow die, what could possibly go wrong, right?

I don't care about the price itself, CoC was fine, Chaosdwarfs was fine, but I don't see the VALUE in SoC. Again, the price is fine as long as there is actual value behind it. I preordered every DLC for Warhammer 1- 3 without even thinking twice. But SoC has the value of maybe 12€. Less value IMO as CoC and certainly way less value than Chaosdwarfs.
I think the price would be justified if every one of those 3 races got 7-10 new units.
Stop being greedy with that sorry excuse of an DLC.
The game is still in a piss poor state, and you refuse to hotfix game breaking bugs for months, can't wait for the buggy mess that is patch 4.0.

The most disappointing release of the year so far. At least for me.

I absolutely loved the first game and was really looking forward to playing this.

Now, the sad thing is that I and many others can't even play the game because of crashes.
See the 3hrs played? Yea, that's me trying to troubleshoot the game for 10hrs and spending the rest of my day in the official Discord bug report channel to find the next clue to troubleshooting this mess.

If you have a 4090 with an 13900K don't even think about buying the game, it's not going to work.
It's either a DX12 crash, an out-of-memory crash, ShaderDecompression crash, or an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION crash.
You can, of course, buy it and spend hours troubleshooting, and it might work, but don't get your hopes up, it's a gamble.

On top of that, the game is poorly optimized and relies on DLSS; there are a lot of really severe and game-breaking bugs and glitches; multiplayer is not working for some people; and the list goes on and on.

I have no doubt they are working hard to solve all this and iron it out, but as of now, I can't recommend this game in such a poor state, which is really a shame.

Edit: I found a fix for the crashes (needs further testing) by underclocking my P-Cores.

So far, it's been a pretty frustrating experience, with lots of crashes and an infinite loading screen bug where my only option is to kill the task.
Besides that, the game is kinda mid.

While I enjoy the gameplay and keep playing it, i just sadly can't recommend the game for the following reasons.

- Overall poor Performance: Frame drops, CTD, Memory leak
- Only 4 Careers: Vermintide 2 had 15 at launch
- Progression system: RNG based vendors, no real crafting as of yet
- Mission board: It's just a terrible system where you can't choose the map you want with the difficulty you want + the modifiers you want.
- No private lobbies as of yet
- Voice acting: Vermintide 2s VA was one of the best I ever experienced in any game ever. Darktides VA is uninspired, badly written, lacks character, lacks charm, quality is not even close to VT2, banter is meaningless and almost non-existent.
- The story is "meh" at best
- Missing weapons that were shown in promotional material
- No Scoreboard: No, it doesn't make the game toxic. Quite the contrary, actually. Toxic players are going to be toxic regardless, scoreboard helps to shut them up.
- No shared currency and material inventory, which results in boring grind.
- Disgusting predatory cash shop Day 1: With "Premium" currency where you have to over spend money to get what you want, leaving you with not enough to buy something else to incentivize buying even more , rotating items to exploit "FOMO" fear of missing out.
Originally it was planned to be able to earn said premium currency through gameplay, they of course, scratched that idea.

To be clear I have nothing against a cosmetic cash shop that is somewhat consumer friendly like Lohners Emporium from VT2 (that got implemented 2 years after game launch), just give me a full catalog of items that I can directly buy with €.

I will change the review to positive when the following is addressed:
- Performance
- Scoreboard
- Full crafting
- Private lobbies
- Missing weapons implemented for free (not cut content for DLC)
- More Careers
- Progression system rework
- Mission board rework
- At least shared crafting materials
- Drastic Cash shop changes
