If you are a fan of Lovecraft books, and have played the Dark Corners of the Earth or any of the Chaosium RPGs for Call of Cthulhu, this game is very much for you. Try wining via different sanity paths.

**Note - Only played Tannenberg thus far, not Verdun** Many people that play more "modern era" FPS games may balk at this game at first, but after playing for a bit, many people will enjoy this game. The learning curve is not onerous... After you will get slick with the the bolt action rifles, stick with your squaddies through thick and thin, and fend off hordes of the enemy, you will appreciate this game. The background music and speech of the troops also fits the eastern front themed game perfectly.

Recommend this game (at a sale price) to anyone who likes the Payday Franchise. Although some aspects of this game are different from PD2, you still go for headshots, conserve resources, use cover, "level up," and fire a variety of weapons. I find it to be good ol' school fun in the same style or tone of MOH and older COD games. If you are looking for cutting edge graphics, it may not fully be your cup of tea.

For whatever reason, I am seeing a lot of recent “thumbs down” reviews for this game. While I am not a fan of the cost of all of the DLCs, this is still a top-notch coop FPS. The depth and customization you can do with your characters and equipment is amazing, and many of the missions are a great deal of fun with three other players. The dynamic of getting your loot bags to the escape in most missions, while keeping yourself and your comrades alive has an great feel to it. I highly recommend this game to folks who enjoy an emphasis on teamwork in their games.
