im only a few hours in but so far the game is a fun mechwarrior experience . and captures the clans really well. it plays differently than MW5 mercs , but its also very familar . while its not perfect its a good time

this game is very well done and very fun with friends . if you have some buddies that want to spread democracy thru the galaxy for the price it cant be beat ,

that being said here is the down side , it currently requires a PSN account link , when the game launched it was optional but as i edit this review SONY has decided to make it now mandatory after months of it being optional or not needed (due to technical issues) which will alienate anyone where getting a PSN isn't easy or even allowed by SONY , this isn't a issue with the DEVS at ARROWHEAD but a SONY Management ISSUE so be advised of that fact
(addendum 2) SONY has relented and has stated its not going thru with it being mandatory .now we can spread managed democracy with all our friends around the world

this is a fun game to play with friends , the game keeps improving from ghosts and the maps and gadgets , worth the play with a group of friends

been a fan of Bungie's games since the first halo , while Destiny has been a rocky road , it does have that Bungo feel to the gunplay and the aliens. in its current state its well worth it to play it as a free to play title and if you like it buy some more content while the game is far from perfect , its a fun and engaging universe to loot and shoot , from hard core raiding to casual loot and shoot, to PVP ( though its peer to peer ) there is something for every type of gamer in Destiny

Edit : that was me at the beginning of this ride ,here we are and Bungie ruined the game with double dipping Micro transactions , now you need a battle pass and a dungeon key when you just needed the battlepss only and was alot less , now you pay double for the same amount of REUSED content , thats right remember that area in D1 well its become a "New" thing in D2 season . unless you buy the largest package your screwed to have to pay and pay no mattter what , want to just play for the seasons you want to play , well its gonna cost ya twice the amount while the content is fun the amount of it is less but for more money you need to spend to get the whole story for a expansion . new players have it worse its confusing on what to get and what is still viable instead of giving the player a option to bundle things you have to pay piecemeal and some of whats avail is stripped down of what they were when released , the gun play is still fun but that pales in comparison to the GREED and GRIND of what bungle has done to something i really enjoyed , which now its only worth coming back on sale to play thru the expansion story play for a few days then wait for the next expansion and its sale price , full price there is no VALUE to the customer , bungie is clearly grabbing money to fun there new game there developing . so if your someone that at one time played d 2 in its heyday go forth and enjoy knowing that only pay for the minum your willing so spend this title isnt work your time or money outside of playing thru the story campaigns , season pass isnt worth what you pay for . for new players buy on sale only and only the last couple of expansions use you tube to watch the earlier campaigns if you want the older dlcs wait for HUGE sales for the packs thats it , again save your money as much as possible dont give into bungies bad MT strategy

i can't recomend the game enough , ever played Battletech table top, do you like Xcom series ? did you like the Front Mission games on consoles ? if the answer is yes to any of these than this is the turn base strategy your looking for.

Pros ; great looking art style
good map design
excellent music score
great mech animations
Missions tend to have different enemy setup when replayed adding freshness While keeping the difficulty and the force size , what mechs seen is generated
Cons : RNG can be unforgiving
mech Forces generation can mess you up if your going for to salvage a particular mech and try to save scum it
not fully voice acted could use some more in that area instead of having to read conversations with no dialog options

Been a long time fan of the Battletech / MechWarrior universe .this game hits the mark . While not a direct translation of Battletech its pretty dang Close . From the mech art to the animations , the sound of the lasers and autocannons , its a nice immerisve experience .anyone thats played the popular tank games out there , will enjoy MWO . easy to get into but challenging to master ,

ive only been playing a few months (before Steam launch) so i still have things im learning. you can spend hrs in the mech lab and testing grounds just doing different builds . built in VOIP makes it easier for new players to learn the ropes and communicate .

With a great community of Twitch Streamers that are more than willing to help new players , Forums and other utlity sites to help see and share mech builds .

If you like piloting giant robots , if you like the different popular Tank games out there , well i highly recomend playing this game .
