Early Access Review
While this game is in Early Access. It is fairly well rounded for the most part. The main problem I see for most, including myself, is the frame drop towards the end of each mission. I'm pretty sure it is either a memory leak somewhere or the partical effects (or maybe both?) that are causing most of the problems.

All in all a great game that I haven't had a single match where there aren't people shouting movie quotes and roleplaying. The game is designed around teamwork and so far it seems that everyone i've been in a session with have taken that to heart.

COME ON YOU APES! YOU WANNA LIVE FOREVER!?

I'm assuming that most people here leaving bad reviews are the one's that are just jumping on the hate train. is 2042 the best game out right now? No. Can it compete with CoD and others like it as is? Not a chance.

But if you ask if it is a decent game with a good amount of fun to be had playing with friends just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles? Yes. Yes it is.

This is by no means an award winning game. I myself have gripes about the game and have disappointment with the game at launch and different key game play assets that are STILL not in the game.

However, I do enjoy the game for what it is. I play with family and friends several times a week just having fun even when we lose.

This game STILL has an ENORMOUS potential to be one of the greats, but it is squandering and being suffocated, as usual, under EA's greedy watch.

Do I find this game fun? Yes.

Do I recommend this game to friends and family? Yes.

While there are some major problems with the game it is still fun to play. Don't jump on the hate train just because that is what everyone else is doing too.

I've played Destiny 2 mostly on the Xbox, but I wanted to start the game over from the beginning with my father and younger brother. purched the $80 version of the game only to find out that the FIRST HALF of the game no longer exists. I don't think i've ever played (or attempted to play) a game that BY DEFAULT starts with you waking up like in the first destiny and now jumps over the ENTIRETY of the FIRST HALF OF THE GAME to the beginning of some DLC story crap that I have no vested intrest in because i've forgotten what the FIRST HALF OF THE GAME WAS LIKE.

Long story short?

Do NOT purchase this game if you have ANY intentions of trying to play from the ACTUAL beginning as it no longer exists...

Empire At War is by far one of my favorite games that i've ever played. I have replayed the original campaigns DOZENS of times and have logged HUNDREDS of hours into mod game play. This is definitely in my top 5 games that i play.

If you aren't sure about buying this game; Just keep in mind that while the base game is a bit old, it still looks fantastic for a game that came out in 2006.

That's not even including the mods that bring the game into the modern era graphically.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Petroglyph, the game developers, have been watching the community for this game grow for YEARS, even after they had to shut down the multiplayer. (Which they have brought back in 2019 I believe?)

All in all, this is a fantastic game that i recommened to all RTS fans as well as anyone who is trying to find a starter RTS to get into.
