The game is a lot of fun overall probably a 7.5-8/10. If you enjoyed Kingmaker then there are a number of improvements here. There are a few times where the game seems to slow down and you slog through some areas but overall the pacing is pretty good for a long game.

I am having a lot of fun playing this game. As a lifelong DM for my friends it actually gives me some ideas for additional rule implementation to add value to my own campaigns as well.

Back to the game Acts I & II feel great and well thought out. I am getting into act III now and can see some of the issues that people have talked about with feeling rushed and performance issues at times. Regardless of that I am planning on a second play through and based on Larians track record we will get a definitive edition with some major changes and improvements. Definitely a must play for all RPG fans.

If you get nothing out of my tiny blurb above take this nugget away: I bought the game twice once in early access here and once on PS5 to play with some friends who only console game.

A bit too repetitive at times... Fun game play for some of the challenges but by mid to end game you know exactly how to defeat all enemies you come across. Love LOTR setting so saves it from not being recommended.

So the game is short and its a good way to spend an afternoon if you are snowed in and have nothing else to do. If the camera was better I would have had a bit less frustration. Playing Co-Op would be the way I recommend playing it. Combat is pretty easy once you get it down and its hard to get hit once you master it making the game a breeze.

Its an older game but lots of fun. Wish they would have finished the whole story but didn't make and sequals. Huge battles and great heroes. Lots of fun!
