Great game! I highly recommend. Darktide was pushed out prior to Xmas and has a few issues because of this but despite the premature release the game's core play is fantastic. It will be better when they complete the crafting system but the game is completely playable presently.

The game has great atmosphere with lots of fluffy banter and events. I enjoyed the upgrade system which rewarding and somewhat well paced however towards the end of the game I felt like my party was armed to the teeth and nearly invincible. Weaponry was fantastic with lots of intresting options and despite completing the game there were still many unkown weapons/upgrades that I hadn't even discovered. All of this said the game was quite short and without difficulty settings I feel as though it will make replays less rewarding - especially since I felt as though the later half of the game I managed to overcome with casual ease. I think a few more hardball missions which really throw alot of dangerous threats would improve the longevity and the difficulty of this game. All this said I enjoyed every minute of the game and found that it was difficult to stop playing.

The hot keys for navigating through the various menues in this are terrible. Escape toggles between the main menue and the Multiplayer menue? Escape key == take me to the main menue then ask if I want to quit - not toggle between the menue and Multiplayer! Spacebar to acquece to things???? ENTER. Whoever did this must have wanted to tormet people with it. Once you get past the awful menue prompts there is a good game underneath - just for the love of god let me keep hitting escape untill I'm promped to leave the game!
