**Edited Review after playing again with the 2.1 version**

They've finally fixed Cyberpunk 2077 and made something like the game I was hoping it would be, and is in a state where it can be recommended.

The game's original strength on release, which was excellent storytelling and characters, is still there, but now is built on a stable platform with improved game-play and satisfying, totally reworked character advancement. Gun-play, melee, stealth, and quick-hacking are all strong which allows you to approach situations in your preferred way.

There's still things to nitpick.
I wish itemization amounted to more than "You're level XX now so the item drops are a different color and have bigger numbers but are otherwise identical."

I wish crafting was better than "Hope your preferred item design is in the shop you're visiting, buy it, then spend generic components to make it exactly on spec" There's no item customization to be found aside from a small variety of mods.

The game-play is STILL limited to accommodate controller/console users, with just one quick-slot for items. I would love it if just once developers showed keyboard/mouse users some love.

The game would have been better if done 3rd person instead of 1st person, which would have provided a better sense of what was happening in the frenetic gun combat.

These things aside, Cyberpunk 2077 (finally) is an engaging worthwhile experience. I wish it was released in this state from the jump.

Thank you for Lords of Xulima! I dipped my toe in last night and it looked awesome! I'm probably signing my death sentence by attempting a utility party of Thief, Bard, Explorer, Cleric, Mage, and Soldier.
