So right out of the gate, there are some problems with Goken.

1) As others mentioned, spelling & grammar is not at it's strongest here. If you are bothered by that, move on. I have seen worse, by far. In Goken's defense, It's not hard to figure out what's being said. This issue doesn't get in the way at all, but it might irritate sticklers.

2) There is a problem with visual stutter as the camera pans across the map. Basically anytime you move the character the screen stutters. Apparently this is an issue that has to do with higher end machines. Check the pinned section of the forums. Although I still had the problem. The solution there did at least make it bearable.

3) ***NOTE TO THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO PLAY GOKEN*** It does not appear to be possible to max all 5 of your weapons. At best you can max out 2/5. Keep this in mind when you're trying to decide which ones to max out(Lvl 4). I was not aware of this & accidentally maxed a weapon I barely ever used.

With all of those problems out of the way. I actually enjoyed Goken. There's an interesting story, pretty good combat elements, beautiful world & some pretty sweet audio tracks. This isn't the greatest game out there, but Goken held my interest & that's hard to do.

Combat wise, the magic system is terrible. Puzzle wise, the magic system works. Not a big fan.

There also seems to be a bug that randomly ignores character movement & basically just locks you in place. According to the forums, this bug has been around for years & as of this review, is still in game.(happened twice in an hour & a half)

Four Last Things is short & sweet.

By short, I mean less than 4 hours to 100%. By sweet, I mean gorgeous(visually & audibly), irreverent, highbrow, & humorous.

If you don't take religion too seriously. This is worth a look.

Less of a metroidvania & more of a platformer. Nub's Adventure, was a pretty fun experience. While it was mostly a laid back, casual platformer, there were a couple moments that were frustratingly challenging.

This is definitely worth a look. $7.00 might be a bit steep though.

Unplayable! My entire time 'in game' was spent trying to get the controls to function. I was sucessful in getting some movement but there's this persistant ignored zone with diagonals that will not go away.

Your character will just stop dead when you try to move diagonally. Refunding now!

Is it Sunday? I've been in the game for an hour & been preached to the whole time. This is a weird theology simulator. I was expecting more of a lean towards the comics & less of a lean toward the bible.

Buy it at a dirt rate. You can get the same experience from a free hotel bible.

Great point & click. At $5.99, "Milkmaid of the Milkyway" is well worth it, for the love, effort & writing that went into the project. However, the game is short. If you're buying for quantity over quality. Wait for a sale.

A Date in th Park is excruciatingly boring. In the 1st 5 minutes it had me looking for an achievement guide, just so I could get this over with fast.

Pros:
It's free & has achievements.

Cons: 1 hours worth of torture.

HOLY SNAP! 45 minutes in & I think I'm in love. If I didn't have to work tonight, "Heart & Slash" would be my entire evening. I can't wait to get home in the morning.

1st impression is the game is way to hyper. Even without sprinting, Heart beats cheeks. And as fast as his cheeks beat, I'm surprised there's not a fire in the hole. You quickly become accustomed to the speed & that's when this game grabs you.

50 hours & all 71 achievements later & nothing's changed. I love this damn game. "Heart & Slash" is a riot. Sure there's not much story here & sure there are some bugs(one of the characters is almost unusable). But the core of this game is the gameplay & it's solid. Each run is a blast because the hack & slash is on point & the rng always keeps things fresh & you on your toes.

Do yourself a favor. (Nothing against the BGM, but...) Mute the BGM & play some heavy music during your sessions.

A few mini games & a bunch of easter eggs to find. "The Cat Games" is a very creative & fun little distraction. I 100%'d this in under 2 hours & seriously doubt I'll be revisiting it.

Don't get me wrong. I had a bunch of fun with "The Cat Games" & the creativity that went into this is well worth the $2. On top of that it's an easy achievement completion & cards.

This is a definite sale purchase, but a 50/50 full price purchase.
