An excellent continuation, of one of the best FPS games around. Damn well worth it if you enjoyed HL1 & or 2(Although if you skip 2 you'll be missing out on a lot).

Pros: Successfully builds upon an already fantastic story. The gameplay is just as good as HL2.

Cons: Very short. Alyx & the citizens you escort are dumb as bricks & will get you killed at times. No cards.

I bought this game & found that the camera was very hyperactive & almost impossible to use. I posted a review to that effect & the dev immediately responded (within 30 minutes of my post). From_Soy_Sauce genuinely wanted to correct the issue. I explained the situation & quite literally the camera issue had been addressed, the next day. This is the kind thing we all want to see from developers adding content to Steam.

Now that the camera is fixed I'm starting to get into the game a little bit & so far it seems like an interesting story. The visuals seem dated, but this is part of the charm. This is impressive work considering it's a Game Maker creation. So far I'm happy with the purchase.

Over all this game is an enjoyable run & gun, but there's not a lot to it. It's VERY grindy. There is a lot of cool equipment to unlock. The visuals are pretty. The audio is well done. All of the achievements now work. The multiplayer is not amazing, but functional. The boss battles are frustrating, but fun. The problem again is it's a grind-fest once you find a stage that will just keep spawning enemies. There is not much incentive to move on.

I enjoyed my time with this game & for that reason I recommend it. It's not a great game, but it's fun for a while.

Such an overlooked title. Don't miss out on this one. There are so many positives to Enslaved.

-The world & textures are beautiful
-The characters are astounding. From the voice acting to the motion capture & facial expressions. The way the characters display emotion is almost unmatched. There are very few games that do this well & this is by far 1 of the best.

Gameplay
-At it's core, this is an above average hack & slash with entertaining platforming.
-As far as escort missions go, Enslaved does it right. Trip is not completely incompetent. She's not overbearing, she will suggest which way to go 1-2 times & then she shuts up. It also doesn't hurt that Trip is gorgeous. She is seriously 1 of the hottest women in gaming history.
-Fun boss battles
-Collectables for the completionists

-Is very interesting & not overdone.

I bought this twice (PS3 & Steam) and I would happily buy it again if I had to. Well worth it.

My only gripe is that Trip's DLC costume is pretty... meh.

Not as good as One Finger Death Punch. I am glad there are more games trying to emulate OFDP's game style though. As of right now the controls are a bit buggy. However, this is a new release & the devs already stated they're aware & working on a fix. Definately worth a look at 2 bucks & watch the damn move. It's free & very well done.

I'd pay movie theater prices to go see this!

This is the game for you.

I voted this up on Greenlight & have been waiting on this release. The wait was worth it. This game is a blast & a fun little challenge. You also receive the emotional reward of bringing those little dudes with the waving arms home to their little ladies(presumably also with waving arms??).

There are some tricky/frustrating parts. Mainly on "Cargo" retreival stages, where the cargo gets out of control & starts revolving around the chopper. This is due to the game's physics, but is rooted in the pilot's (MY) crappy flying. Also trying to land in the trees. tends to result in flipping the chopper, which then drives you into the ground(again faulty operator). My crappy piloting did however make me "kamakaze" into a tank & accidentally blast those VC bastards into the ground. I then proceeded to laugh maniacally & then write this review.

I highly recommend this one.

Edit - There are a lot of nice little features in this one too. Things like degradation of handling due to the increased weight of hostages & having to battle against wind during storms. Invictus kept an eye on detail.

I'll come right out & say it, "I really didn't give this game a chance." Feel free to take my review with a grain of salt.

Thank you to Tripwire for the free weekend. However, after 18 minutes of gameplay, rather than the initial feeling of new game excitement. I just felt annoyed. I can't really pin it down, but I felt like this is not the game I need to spend my time on.

This might be a great title for shooter fans, but something drove me away fast.

Not entirely sure why there are so many mixed reviews for this game. Sure Hydrophobia isn't the greatest game out there. The visuals aren't incredible, by any means. The audio is "meh" at best. I saw someone mention that the water physics were good. They've CLEARLY NEVER actually seen water before(you will open doors & see a 3 ft wall of water that will take about 30 seconds to level out). But there is a fairly good story here. The setting is pretty good. The mechanics are above average. And the price is to what an "ok" game should be set at.
