PSA: don't read the caps stuff as yelling, more a bit louder or as sarcasm based on context, no formatting leaves little on how to add emphasis

Overall I've enjoyed playing remnant, especially for a game I bought completely on whim (Had no idea the game even existed till the Pre-order weekend). It's interesting, the boss weapons you can pick up are super fun to use, Combat feels fun and you can make you feel like a bad-ass, and I like the random nature of the game. That said this game does have a few issues that genuinely irritate me:

!) Input buffering - stop, just don't do this, I can understand not allowing me to dodge when I'm in the middle of swinging my axe but I should be able to change my mind and do something else before the next one, I've died so many times to this, it's irritating, just don't

2) Dragon hearts - think Estus flasks, they take way too long to activate, it's stupid and makes no sense from a story point of view, your character's about to die, what kind of person would calmly pull out the healing item and then use it when they're about to be cut to pieces by several mobs? NO ONE, a person in such a situation would rip the healing item out as fast as possible and then smash said healing item into themselves to activate the effect as fast as humanly possible

A few issues that kinda bother me:

1) The environments - I'm not sure, I like the environments but they are kinda... drab, or at least the ones I've seen so far (Earth, Rhom). I think the problem is the colour pallets, they seem to be one of two colours, a drab colour and a bright colour; on earth it's brown and red, on Rhom it's brown and green, they're should be a third colour to make the environments more interesting. the other issue is that they kinda repeat, the dungeons, for example, when I was on earth, almost all the dungeons felt exactly the same, If it wasn't aware of what I was doing, I'd wonder if I was actually in a different area.

2) Bosses - are both fun and a piss take, My issue was the adds, they are there to make the encounter more challenging but... I don't know they just felt cheap some times, oh ok, so I have to deal with this stupidly huge tree firing mortars at me, and OH I have to run from the adds that also EXPLODE, and OH and if I get hit, I'm stun locked and then I'm just dead.... I don't mind dying to a screw up but dying because I literally can't get out of a ♥♥♥♥ situation? WOW, SUPER FUN TIMES... not

And a few things that were great:

1) Combat - Overall I liked it, It felt like the right balance between fun and giving you enough rope to hang yourself. Other then input buffering and slow item usage, 85% of the time you died because you screwed up, like not paying attention to where you are then and accidentally rolling into a deep hole.

2) I like the goofiness of world travelling, It's super fun and provides an easy way to add more content, who knows what will happen next?

3) Boss items - Some of them are fun, flack cannon that also doubles up as a gas grenade launcher? Awesome. A hand-cannon that also shoots homing radiation projectiles? sweet!

4) Overall I liked the setting though I did think it was more Cthulhu derived then it was but I don't think it detracts from the setting

In conclusion, an overall great game with a few glaring issues that can be sorted.
