The game is challenging and tricky, but very fun to play with friends. Unfortunately, the frequent and random disconnections make the game unplayable. Players simply disconnect from a dungeon run and lose everything. This disconnect problem has been around for more than two years and still hasn't been fixed by the devs. When you switch to the beta branch, which should fix this problem, it gets even worse. The connection is not interrupted, but the delay is so heavy that every player seems to be playing a different game. The last straw was that as soon as you switch to the beta branch, your savegames and characters from the vanilla branch are unusable. If you want a solid game that you can play with friends, you should look elsewhere and save yourself the trouble.
