Early Access Review
Easily the best value in VR right now. The shooter gameplay is exciting and engaging, the community is helpful and friendly, and the developer works hard to improve the game and is also active in the community. Between the fantastic gameplay and the practically endless custom maps being created in the steam workshop, this Pavlov VR has unlimited replay value. I really can't recommend this game enough if you have VR and like shooters. Must-buy.

Like I imagine many people, I was instantly drawn to Longbow in The Lab when I first got VR. Since then I have been looking for an amazing archery game that really blows me away. The best thing I had found up to now was Quivr, with its crisp archery mechanics and interesting upgrade path. While Quivr is great, the gameplay does get repetitive after awhile, but I still went back to it now and then for the great archery.

Other games like Rec Room tack on some bow and arrow mechanics, and while Rec Room failed to deliver the great archery experience I wanted, it DID deliver an amazing gameplay experience with Quest mode that had me coming back over and over. I have tried a handful of other archery games, and games that include some bow and arrow mechanics, and they ranged from mediocre to downright terrible. Nothing else even came close to delivering the solid archery combat of Quivr, nor the amazing archery gameplay of Rec Room Quest.

Then today the Steam Summer Sale rolled around and I saw Twisted Arrow on my feed. My first thought of course being "oh great, another terrible archery game" I almost dismissed it. The solid gameplay-oriented video however (thank you for that) and the reasonable price tag changed my mind, and I decided to give it a shot.

I went into this game with low expectations, and within moments found that my skepticism was completely unfounded. This archery game absolutely rocks. Not only does the bow and arrow deliver a crisp, responsive, and streamlined archery experience, but the intense fast-paced yet thoughtful gameplay keeps you riveted to your headset and tightly gripping your controllers. Whether you take cover and plan your next shot, or dash in with a hail of trick arrows, Twisted Arrow offers a challenging, exciting, explosive... man I am running out of positive descriptive words here... look the game is awesome okay!

The trick arrows are useful, versatile and fun to use without being overwhelming. It offers multiple difficulties, there are a bunch of different levels to play through, there are boss fights, leaderboards... I could go on but suffice it to say that if you are looking for a game that delivers on fun archery and great gameplay, you MUST get Twisted Arrow!
