I've since requested a refund for it. I've wasted an entire afternoon of it randomly crashing. It chewed through 20 gigs of my RAM, crashed whilst doing something as simple as changing a camera angle, crashes to desktop whilst simply using it and to top it all off, the analogue stick on the X-Box One pad have this distinctive "twitch" to them where you push it slightly and then it suddenly jumps. Did everything like changing sensitivity and deadzone to try and fix it but it never did. The analogue sticks work fine on all my other games.

Should never have been released in this state. I spent £110 on the premium version and all I got was a bunch of garbage that's unstable and is barely flyable due to the XB1 pad analogue sticks being twitchy. Biggest disappointment I've had this year.

A truly amazing VR game. The physics implementations are quite literally otherworldly and raise the bar for all future VR games.

Having played this previously on my brothers PS4, I can safely say without the shadow of a doubt that the PC version here is easily the definitive version of the game. Playing at 60FPS makes a huge difference. Moreso with doing The High Road which didn't seem to be nowhere near as frustrating as it was on PS4 (beat it this time using around 10 lives and without using the rope exploit). It's not entirely clear as to weather the hitboxes were tweaked or if the higher framerate just made controlling the jumps easier. Here's hoping Spyro Reignited eventually gets a PC release.

When you take into account that it's 7 year old game with Virtual Reality shoehorned into it, it's amazing that it turned out the way it did. Bethesda did a superb job with optimizing it (more so when you take into account that it's a full fledged open world.) The various VR options that allow you to tailor the locomotion to the way you want it really go a long way to adjusting the movement to best suit your needs.

It's too bad that it doesn't have full body/arm IK presence, mirrors or the physics object manipulation that most made from the ground up VR games have but then you need to take into account that it's a 7 year old game with an aging engine. It was never intended to be VR to begin with. It'd be nice if modders could mod those in but it's more than likely well outside of the capabilities of current modding processes for the engine.

Bought this and refunded it. I ran into a problem where the game kept coming up with an error saying it unexpectedly closed. As a result, I couldn't even get the game started. Tried all the suggestions in the forums and it still wouldn't work. I've bought loads of VR games including the recently released SkyrimVR and they've all worked great. Considering this game came from a AAA company, it's completely unacceptable. A shame really as the game looks so fun and lulzy (The classic Not Now Phelps youtube video springs to mind)

Worst port of the game I've ever played. The unreponsive/imprecise mouse controls even with the sensitivity turned right up cause the game to be unplayable. Probably the fastest refund I've ever requested on a game. Stick with Megaton if you've got it or use Eduke32.

Early Access Review
Anyone with a VR headset needs this game in their library. This is literally the closest thing your going to get to a VR version of the game Trespasser and the best thing of all..... It's not a wave shooter :)

A superb remake of the original game. If you've played the original game, just buy it. :)

This should easily set the bar on how remakes are ultimately made. It's flawless in just about every way.

I really hope that Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom has the same level of dedication and effort put into it as this game has when it comes out.

Graphics/interactions are ok but this game or experience commits the absolute biggest no-no in VR games which is excessively moving the camera via camera shake. I played this previously on my DK2 and upgraded to CV1 with Motion controllers today.

Having returned to this after several months to give it a proper playthrough and hopefully see improvements, I find it difficult to believe that the issues with the camera shake still exist throughout which causes discomfort even after a few seconds. This is extremely prominent during the re-entry/flight sequence which causes major discomfort. The way your perspective doesn't match up with your VR body in the capsule sequence again causes a sense of disconnect. I really cannot recommend this at this time due to the motion sickness issues bought about by the excessive camera shake.

Beat this in about 1 Hour 30 mins (not taken secrets/extras into account). Although its pretty expensive with regards to how short the core game is, the content that is here though is very polished and really does well immersing you in its universe. Would recommend but you'd be better off waiting for a sale due to the length of it.
