An excellent game for very young gamers. My son (almost 4 years old) has been having a blast. The images on the store page show a diagonal view, but it can be changed in game to cardinal directions. It's actually set this way by default for the PC version at least. It makes it a lot easier to control if your kid is just learning to use arrow keys or wasd movement with a keyboard.

The basic game-play utilizes only 5 buttons: the 4 directional keys and an interact button ('space' or 'e'). You can enable or disable edges on the platforms to prevent falling off, though the only penalty if you do fall is being popped back to the center of the platform you were just on. This makes the game very forgiving and letting you try again just where you were is excellent for the target age group.
