No serious technical issues like crashes at this point, only some LOD related problems.
Gameplay is generally fun and engaging and only sufferes if people ignore the game´s mechanics.
50 vs 50 is also definitely fun, the learning curve isn´t overly steep, but it´s rather long.

Why ist the command for crouching and skipping dialogue bound to the same key? Why? Why?! WHY?!!!
And fix your animations, CDPR!

It's an alright DLC, but as far as I have played them I´d probably consider it the weakest of the lot.
The lack of engaging story and narration isn´t made up for by all the nice houses one can build.
If you try to roleplay and not use fast travel, getting from and to this place is a chore.

However, in the end it´s an ok addition to the excellent base game that I can choose to ignore if I want to do other stuff and come back to anytime, so it works for me.

I liked the whole tone and concept of this dlc
However, the story and the characters could have been developed more in my eyes.
This holds especially true since the NPCs do have character are well voiced.
I consider it a worthwhile addition to the base game.

It´s not without its little flaws and weaknesses and it´s probably not a game for everyone, but I´d recommend it.
As far as adventure games go, it´s definitely one of the better ones, if not one of the best I´ve played so far...
It can even make you smile sometimes...

Convoluted, overly complicated, not easily accessible... You have to like this kind of game, but if you do it is pure gold. Some parts become slightly repetetive after a while (research quests), the pacing is a little too slow at times (too much idle time) and some events seem just plain unfair towards the player, but Crusader Kings was no different...

If you own a Rift and actually want to use it - forget this game. It does not work properly. The game doesn´t shut down correctly, won´t accept controller inputs, crashes etc. Most of the time it won´t even start properly - even without the OR.
I´ve tried to play just one simple race for days now - without success.

EDIT:

After several weeks and with all the weird little kinks ironed out that plagued the experience at the beginning I am now able to say that this game is in fact a very enjoyable driving simulator.
Haven´t had the chance to give VR a serious try, yet...

First off - it´s not a new game, and there are already plenty of in-depth-reviews out there, I guess.

If asked to briefly sum up my experience, I wouldn´t really know where to begin. Also, I´d have to ask myself if such an approach doesn´t spoil someone´s experience with the attempt to breach that surface, to "elevate" things from their sub-concious dream-like continuum that are so rarely verbalized in this game.

That´s what it feeds on: A lot of it is sub-text and imagination, non-linear and intuition (which is not surprising, given the sources of inspiration of the creators).
Characters are sketchy at first, but as your journey down this road continues, their dialogue options and choices become the bits that fill the empty spaces and before long it will feel like you actually inhabit these characters to some degree.
Everything remains vague while familiarity creeps in. One starts to wonder what lies behind some of the ghost-like appearances and the cursed world they inhabit.

Anyone with a tolerance or maybe even a soft spot for this kind of narrative should pick this up. I waited for a rather long time after I discovered Kentucky Route Zero, because you could read that the developers were taking so much time to complete the game. It would not have been the first game to fall short of hype and expectations...
However, fear not - even at this point it is well worth the money. Time well spent. I´m still playing it and haven´t had the time to take everything in, let alone decypher it with three acts completed. It may even be quite replayable.

Some more superficial remarks:

- The minimalistic visuals are carefully composed and very appealing

- Audio design is spot on - there is not one tableau or scene in this game where something really seems out of place or overbearing

Can video games be art?
