after moddding the hell out of it, i deffy got 12 hours of some fun,.. one of my fav games as a kid was x-Beyond the Frontier, up till then i always belived games could do that kinda thing but never saw it.. and that changed it.. scence then i dablled in x-threat and even own copies of x3 but never really got the majic i know x3 is very complex and nifty, but felt to cold, and alone, so the whole walk around aspect of x-rebirth felt exacly what i wanted to help that "connection" but the ghosty empty posts also , the break down from "seeing them outside" to all the internals beign the same, was devistating just totallly losses any sence of "them being real entties" i dont expect entire interiors but, i expect something. anything. with lack of any real AI, was depressing. ♥♥♥♥♥ discos and weird lame layouts. plus i moded enogh to break into xenon stations ha fun, but the textures hurt your eyes. haha. genreally im into broken games, i usally just break them more. hacking away but, this never really felt that fun. and i really really wanted to like it, and i also really like broken games, (stalker clear skys is one of my alltime fav game, so is about 1/2 a doznon of the other jankyist games out. so, bugs arnt an issue. DESIGN and the ablity to feel like the game has osmthign in the hidden realms, somthing to expose explore, break,. etc. this game just felt unflinshed, and lacked the misitry i did not think there was a hidden spot to find, some strange thing to break. all just seemd very much formulaic, and the wars lacked a like politcal or evolutionary element even with all the mods.. still seemd like it was forced scripted. and lack any kind of "emergent" AI behavour. so, ya. sadly idk. i'm waiting for x4 to go on megadiscount hope it can fix that. as econmic syms with jankyness and expolration are defyf my thing..
